Chapter 35

I hear my phone alarm go off. I slowly lift my head from my desk. I had stayed up until 4am studying since today I have my tests. I turn my alarm off and get ready for school. I shower, get dressed, pit on my makeup, brush my hair, pack all my binders and make my bed. I walk downstairs and pour myself a cup of coffee.
I scroll through Twitter seeing tweets asking about why I haven't posted about any of the Sidemen in a few days, I ignore them all and go to my messages. I have a few texts from Simon but I ignore those too. I can't be distracted by this shit today.
"Hey hun." My mom says as she comes downstairs.
"Hey mom." I reply.
"Whats up?" She asks.
"I have a few tests to do today or else I'm getting held back a year." I state.
"Well I hope you don't get held back." She jokes. Classic. I roll my eyes at her and continue on my phone. "Hey. How are things with Simon?" She asks.
"He wants to get back together, but I don't know." I tell her.
"Want some advice?" She asks.
"Yeah." I say, looking up from my phone.
"Keep doing the things you love. Take a drive around London, discover your favourite place to hang out, the place with the best cappuccinos, Play Hockey and soccer. If while you're doing those things you wish Simon was there, I'd get back with him. If not, well, then I wouldn't." She says. I process what she said. That's probably the best advice she's ever given me.
"Yeah, I'll do that." I say. She walks over to me.
"Here." She says and hands me a handful of cash, "I want you to drive around today. Find out something new about yourself. Do some thinking." She tells me. I nod and she kisses me on the head.
After she's gone to work I put the money in my wallet and grab my
backpack. I get the car keys and hurry out of the house. I climb into the car and start it quickly. I look at the Sidemen house, remembering that Vik is home now. I'll have to talk to him later. Nope. No Sidemen today. Today is about acing my tests.
When I get to school I walk into the office.
"Hi Holly." The secretary says.
"Hello. Where are my tests?" I ask her.
"In the Library. Good luck." She states and I walk out. I keep my head down in the hallways but people are recognizing me more.
"Holly!" I hear a familiar voice exclaim. I look up to see Matt and his friends standing in front of me. Great.
"Hi." I say and try to walk past them.
"Wait!" Matt says. I stop and turn around to look at them.
"What?" I ask politely.
"It's pretty cool that you're friends with the Sidemen, but now the Pack too." He tells me.
"Yep." I say quickly.
"Are you dating Simon?" He asks.
"No." I reply.
"Lachlan?"
"Nope."
"Brandon?"
"No."
"Vik?"
"No."
"Josh? JJ? Ethan? Harry? Tobi?" He asks me.
"Okay Matt. No. I had a fight with Simon and I haven't talked to them. Okay? I'm not really friends with any of them right now." I snap.
"Well then do you want to go out?" He asks me.
"I have places to be right now. Bye." I say and walk away. I can't believe that he just asked me out. I don't even know if I still want to be friends with him, since you know, Simon. Wait, what am I even saying? I'm not even with Simon anymore. I can be friends with anyone.
When I get to the library I turn on my phone. I have texts from all the Sidemen (except Simon),Lachlan, Brandon, and even Mitch wishing me good luck on my tests. I respond to all of them, thanking them. I don't really know what's happening with the Sidemen and me. Like, I can't be friends with them if I'm not with Simon. Simon gets too jealous, or me and Simon have to be just friends and that might be awkward.
JJ- Wow I'm surprised you answered.
Holly-Why wouldn't I?
JJ-Idk. Things have been awkward between us since you and Simon broke up.
Holly-Yeah
JJ-So whats going to happen?
Holly- I haven no idea. I don't want to lose any of you but that seems to be whats going to happen.
JJ-None of us want that either.
Holly-But I can't do that to Simon.
JJ-Fuck this is a mess.
Holly- It really is. I have to go write my tests.
JJ-Text me after?
Holly- Maybe.
JJ-Haha, alright
Well at least I know they still want to be friends, but maybe JJ was just saying that. Time heals everything, thats what they say. Maybe I'll have to give it time.
"Alright. Its time." A woman says to me and a few other people. "Its 9 o'clock. This test has Science, Health, English, Math, History and Social Studies as subjects on it. You have until school finishes to do it. I imagine it won't take you that long but its okay if it does. Remember not to rush this. Good Luck to all of you. You can use pencil or pen." She says while handing out our tests. I breathe in and out trying to calm myself down and gather my thoughts. "Alright. You may begin." She says. We all flip the page and start our test.
I finish around 12. I hand it in confidently. I checked over it, there was a few questions I was unsure about but I'm hoping that I do well.
Since I finished at 12 I got off school early. I get in my car and let out a huge sigh. A lot of people would think now that I finished it I wouldn't be nervous, but its worse now, I have to wait until Friday for the results. I decide to get lunch in London then drive around like mom told me to. I drive for a few minutes until I get to a café I haven't been to before.
I walk in and sit down.
"Can I get you anything?" I hear someone ask me. I look up and see a familiar face. Oh my god, its the girl Simon slept with. "Have we met?" She asks.
"Yeah. You slept with my boyfriend." I say loudly. People all turn around and look at us.
"When was this?" She asks.
"A few nights ago." I say, still loud enough for people to hear me.
"I don't remember that." She says and walks away. I stand up and walk after here.
"Don't fucking act stupid." I yell at her. The whole place becomes quiet and I feel so many sets of eyes starring at me.
"Excuse me?" She say and turns around.
"You fucking slept with my boyfriend. Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about because it was just a few nights ago." I yell.
"Listen. I only sleep with people who want to sleep with me. He obviously wasn't very happy with you if he slept with me." She states.
"Bitch. Don't come within 100 feet of his house or else I won't be so nice." I say and get closer to her.
"Oh, well next time he calls me over, I'll make sure you're not around." She says with a smile and walks away. I pick up a cup off of a table and throw it at the wall beside her.
"Oh my god! Was that aimed at me?" She yells and turns around.
"That one was a warning. Come near Simon, or any of the Sidemen for that matter, again, and I'll make sure the next one hits you." I say and smile. She starts to run at me but someone grabs her. Next thing I know the police are here. They bring me out of the café and get me to tell my story.
"Well, luckily for you, we can't charge you, and I'm a nice person. I understand your motives, but you can't be pulling this shit." He says.
"I won't ever again! I've never done anything like this before! Something in me just flicked today!" I tell him, panicking.
"I understand. I have to take you to the police station, when you get there, you have to call an adult over the age of 18 to bail you out. It's not really bailing you out since its not a fee but thats what we call it." He tells me, I nod and get into the back of his car.
When we get to the police station I decide to call JJ.
"Hello?" JJ asks.
"Hi JJ." I say.
"Oh hey! What's up?" He asks.
"Are you busy right now?" I ask.
"No, why?" He asks.
"Um, could you do me a favor?" I ask.
"Yeah, sure." He says hesitantly.
"Could you come to the police station and bail me out." I ask.
"You're kidding." He says.
"I wish." I respond.
"Alright, I'll be there in 15 minutes." He says.
"Okay, you can bring any of the boys, just not Simon." I say.
"Gotcha." He says. I hang up and walk over to my bag. I pick it up and go sit in a chair.
In about 20 minutes JJ, Josh and Ethan walk into the police station. I get up and hug all of them.
Josh walks over to the desk and signs some papers and things.
"You better explain this in the car." JJ says, holding in his laughter.
When we get in the car I sit in the back with Ethan.
"So?" JJ says.
"Um. I went out for lunch, and the girl Simon slept with was there. I yelled at her in front of a lot of people and proceeded to throw a cup of coffee at a wall, then the police came." I say. They all burst out in laughter.
"Did you kick her ass?" Ethan says trying to catch his breath.
"No, I was going to hit her but I didn't. It's good though because if I would've she could've pressed charges." I tell them. We just drive to the coffee shop and I get out and get into my car, JJ comes with.
"Thanks for bailing me out." I say.
"No problem. You would've done the same for me." He says.
"How do I tell Simon? Or Vik? They'll flip." I state.
"Come over tonight around 7 and we'll explain the whole thing to them." He says. I nod and drive home.
