Chapter 8

Simon's pov

After getting home from swimming with Holly and the boys, I jump into the shower to remove the smell of chlorine from my body. As the warm water hits my body, I can't help but imagine if thats how it felt when I flipped Hollys floaty, causing her to go crashing into the water. Or if when she jumped on my back I should've done something cute. I just cant get her off my mind. Her smile radiates so much positivity, and her laugh makes me so comfortable, it could brighten my day. Her puns, how kind she is, how she's up for anything. She's my kind of perfect. I'm really falling for her.
I get out of the shower and blow dry my hair, and make sure it looks perfect. When I go to get dressed I base my outfit around what I think she would like. A black shirt that had "Sidemen xix" and khakis. I put on some cologne and look in the mirror. Eh. I look okay I guess.
I head downstairs and see Vik, Josh, Harry, and Tobi playing fifa in the living room. I walk to the kitchen where Ethan and JJ are standing. It looks like they just got back as they're still wearing sunglasses, or they're trying to look like pimps, if so, its not working. On the island, I see Nando's, my favourite. Thanks boys.
"Aye! Nando's!" I exclaim "Don't mind if I do" by now the rest of the boys had heard what I said and were hurrying into the kitchen. We all stand around, making jokes and talking about the meet up tonight.
"So boys. Lets be real here. What do we think of Holly?" Harry says. Why would he say that. If any of the boys say they like her (more than a friend) I'll be pissed.
"Shes nice." Vik says.
"Very." Josh adds.
"She's hot." said Tobi.
"Very" Josh says again, causing us all to laugh.
"She's amazing" I state.
"OHHH SIMON HAS A CRUSH ON HOLLY" Ethan yells
"Emon is #rip" Vik adds, cracking himself up.
"Who's Holly?" JJ asks.
"She's Jakes new daughter, well hes dating her mom and they just moved in with them." Josh informs him. "Also she's really nice, and very pretty." He emphasizes the word very. I think he saw my face as he said that because I became hot and mad. "But, she's not my type." And with that, all the boys shut up.
We decide that Harry, Josh, Vik and I will go in one car, and Ethan, and Tobi will go with JJ. As we get into our cars I see Holly outside. I put down the passenger seat window, she came over and squatted down by our car, making us become face to face.
"Whats up?" I ask
"I was just cleaning the pool and then I was going to go find a grocery store and pick up some good food, then come back and watch a movie or something." She explains.
"I didn't know you could drive" I question
"Im 17, I've had it for over a year! but in your defence you've known me for like 24 hours."
"Exactly, but that sounds fun! Me and the boys were just heading out." As I say this I see Holly wave to the rest of the boys in the car.
"Okay, well I guess I'll let you go then! See you later!" She says cheerfully before turning around and walking away.
When we get to the meet up there's so many people there. We all stand at one end of the line. We all take a sip of water and check our phones one last time before starting the meet up.
After we talked to about 200 fans we all gather our things and left. It was around 11pm when we got back to the house. I got some cereal and went up to my room and started editing some videos. I wonder if Holly would like fifa videos? I wish I knew, that would put me one step closer to her, sharing interests. I want to know everything about her, from her favourite color, to exactly how much she weighed when she was born. I want to be able to have deep conversations with her but also be able to have light, conversations that crack us up. I want the dates at the theatre, sharing a milkshake, ordering fries and sharing them, long walks at midnight, staring at her face as it glows in the moonlight. I want her in my life, everyday. This might seem like I'm rushing the idea that I like her, but I've never been so sure in my life. I've never felt like this before. It's like whenever I see her all the weight is lifted off my chest and just flies so far away, I don't even think about it.
When I finish editing videos and goofing around on social media, I take my now empty bowl from my cereal downstairs and put it on the counter. I look out the kitchen window, hoping to see her, but its 1am and she's probably asleep, so I slump back upstairs and get in bed. I'm so ready for whatever tomorrow might bring.
