Time felt like it was standing still between you and Giyu, as he held you in his arms, but it did not bother you at all. It was comforting. You held onto Giyu's arms until you felt him pull away.
Giyu looked at you with a serious look, "(Y/n)...what will you do now?"
You looked at Giyu with confusion at first, but then realization started to set in. What will you do now? The Kamado family, whom you cherished, was gone, leaving only Tanjirou and Nezuko. You knew it was foolish to be walking around with Nezuko, who had just turned into a demon; killing her was not an option. Tanjirou would never allow that, especially after protecting her with his life.
Your gaze wanders over to the Kamado sibilings, and the words slipped out automatically without you realizing, "I'm going to take Tanjirou and Nezuko to Urokodaki....and I will help train Tanjirou to become a Demon Slayer."
Giyu looked at you, shocked, and grabbed your shoulder roughly to look back at him. "(Y/N)! You can't do that! You know what the Demon Corps will do if they find out you helped harbor a demon!"
Your (e/c) eyes met Giyu's blue ones, and you smiled brightly. "I know."
Giyu felt the resolve in your eyes and could not find the right words to change your mind.
Giyu sighed and stood up.
From your position, you looked up at Giyu and wondered what was going through his head. You knew part of this decision was from your own selfishness, but you also wanted to protect what was left from the Kamado family, who accepted you and made you part of their family.
You heard Giyu take in a deep breath and look back at you, "I will take responsibility with you."
His words were a big shock to you; you couldn't let Giyu take responsibility with you because of your own selfishness.
You got up and tackled Giyu to the snow-covered ground and yelled, "YOU IDIOT! YOU CAN'T DO THAT! THIS IS MY DECISION! I CAN'T BE DRAGGING YOU DOWN WITH ME ANYMORE!"
You felt tears filling up in the corner of your eyes, but before they could fall, you felt a gentle hand wipe them away.
Giyu whispered while gently wiping your tears away, "That's what friends are for."
You felt your lips quiver from his statement. After all this time, he still wants to be friends. You leaned back and covered your eyes with your arm, trying to hold back any additional tears.
You didn't know how to thank him, and all that could slip out was a gentle agreement, "Mhm.."
Giyu leaned over to you and gently patted your head, "It will be ok, I'm here."

After the discussion between Giyu and you, Giyu helped you prepare to travel whenever the Kamado siblings woke up.
Giyu had decided to catch you up on what you have missed from the last few years. Apparently, Shinobu was now a Hashira, along with Giyu and Sanemi. You felt a wave of pride that your best friend was now a Hashira, yet a bit of jealousy that you could no longer be one.
You shook your head to wave away those feelings; that was in the past, and you are no longer the Hashira you once were. You haven't even touched your blade in a while and have no right to want to become a Demon Slayer again.
Giyu looked at you with concern. He could tell you were trying to fight off some unresolved feelings, so he quickly changed the topic.
"I'm sure Urokodaki will be happy to see you again. He often tells me in our letters that he misses his daughter."
