We arrived at the party fashionably late. All of us got out the car and I couldn't help but look around. There were so many celebrities talking, drinking and hanging out. I didn't quite fit the scene being that most of the girls were just wearing a casual outfit and older. Let's just make it clear, I barely went to parties, and when I did, they were birthday parties.
"Mia! Over here!" I heard a girl yell. I turned around and saw one of my best friends calling me over.
"What's up loser?" I asked walking over to her.
"Nothing much, clearly. We haven't gotten to hang out in a while." Daniella mumbled taking a sip of her drink. I've been best friends with her since we were 7, well I was, she was 10. Daniella had gorgeous light brown wavy hair and hazel eyes, and was supermodel worthy. She was tall and had the figure for it, but she never enjoyed modeling, instead she became an actress.
"Yeah sorry about that! After what happened with Matthew, I kind of just wanted to separate myself from you guys." I replied giving her a small smile. She nodded understanding what I meant. Matthew was my over-controlling, rude, cheating ex boyfriend. When I found out he cheated on me with one of my friends, I couldn't take it. But I got over it, not fully, it still hurts but I've gotten used to what happened between us.
"Hey, is Natalie here?" Dani asked me.
"I'm actually not sure. But i'll catch up with you later. I'm going to go find other people." I walked away and went to look for Arden. I missed her and being that the whole cast was basically here, it meant she would be here too. After a while, I saw Arden getting a drink from the bar, don't worry it wasn't alcohol.
"I gotta admit, I love your outfit." I said to Arden as she turned around. It was a bright peach color dress with beautiful white flowers as the design, she paired it with nude heels and a hand purse.
"Thanks M, so have you met him yet?" Arden said nodding towards Dylan. I looked at him. He was speaking to a girl and for some reason I felt a pinch of jealousy run through my body. I quickly shook off the feeling.
"Um, yeah. He's pretty cool." Arden smirked knowing something I didn't.
"What? Is there something on my face?!"
"You like him, don't you? I mean it's okay if you don't want to tell me but I mean..." She said quickly and curiously.
"No of course I don't. I just met him why would I?" I chuckled nervously. But I wasn't lying, I just met the kid and barely knew him.
After a while of talking to Arden, I decided to go find Natalie. But while I was looking, I kept being interrupted by others asking me about my new album. It was a bit irritating but I had to suck it up as always. I finally just decided to give up and I went to go get a drink.
"One Pepsi please." I sighed. The bartender nodded and handed me my drink. I gave him a small smile and took a sip from the cup. I spun myself around on the chair to have myself get a great view of what used to be considered, my worst nightmare. My hands loosened a bit which caused me to almost drop my drink. I saw my ex best friend and ex boyfriend, kissing. I wouldn't even consider it kissing, more like eating each other's faces off. I felt a ping of sadness hit me, I never actually saw them kiss, but now seeing it, it brings back the old feelings I felt when I found out...just ten times worse.
"Thanks" I said to the bartender as I put my drink down and money and quickly walked out of there. Once I was out I began to quietly break down, something I haven't done in a while. In the distance, I saw a park so I decided to go there to clear my head.
"You okay?" I heard a deep voice ask. I quickly wiped my tears and turned around, it was Dylan.
"Yeah, i'm fine." I replied quietly.
"It doesn't look like it. Are you sure you're telling me the truth?" He said sweetly. I wanted to tell him everything but instead I just nodded and smiled.
"Well, would you like some company?" He asked concerned. His light warm ocean blue eyes were comforting and relaxing.
"I'd love some company." I gave him a smile and continued walking with him to the park.
"So...why'd you leave the party?" I asked looking at him. He looked back down and chuckled.
"It started to get a bit boring and it really wasn't my scene. Did you hear the music?" I laughed at that comment. We finally arrived at the park and I decided to sit down and take off my flats. Dylan sat next to me and we began to talk.
"Do you seriously like them?! You're crazy!" He said shockingly. I giggled a bit and smiled.
"I was kidding, although one direction isn't so bad i'm just more into pop punk." He smiled and nodded. He began to tell me stories about his childhood and how he got into acting. I found out he played guitar and I quietly mentioned him and I playing together. After he finished I told him everything about me, from my brothers to a guy who gave me his underwear to sign. It was an unbelievably great night and I didn't want it to end, ever. But of course Posey decided to scare us and tell us we were going back to our trailers to show Dylan the set the next day.
~
"It was nice hanging out with you, loser." I said winking at him. He smiled and bit his lip. It was oddly attractive.
"You too, dork." He replied walking away. I went inside my trailer and took a quick shower and put on my PJ's. I slid into my bed and thought about everything that occurred that night. But I focused more on the conversation Dylan and I had, he was different than the guys I dated, well guy I dated*. I slowly drifted asleep happily, for the first time in over 2 years.
