You're Dead Wrong || Dylan Sprayberry

Chapter Eight. ||

  I looked at myself in the mirror smiling at the outfit I put on. I wanted some time for myself and my best friends. I decided to grab my guitar and call Natalie.

"Mia, it's like 2 pm. What's up?" She asked tiredly. I laughed into the microphone and continued to talk.

"Call Dani and tell her to meet us at the park." 
"Which one?" 
"You know which one. Just text me when you're there." I hung up and walked to the park. The sun was shining and the sky was a beautiful light yet bright shade of blue. I smiled to myself and found the park. There were little kids running around while their parents watched them while talking with other parents. 
Just then my phone vibrated and I opened it up. I turned around to see my two tall best friends coming towards me. 

"You know if you wanted to hang out, all you had to do was come over!" Dani shouted. I chuckled and nodded.

"Right! Well I was busy."

"Too busy for us? That's new." Natalie responded smirking. 

"Well, she has a boyfriend now, what do you expect?" Dani said putting her arm around my shoulder.

"You guys will always be number one. Now let's go have some fun." I put my arm around Natalie and we all walked down to the lake. We each sat down looking around.

"We haven't been here since we were like thirteen." I said to the girls. They nodded as Natalie threw rocks into the lake and tried to scare away a bird.

"I don't think birds like me." She frowned. Dani and I laughed at the tall yet very childish girl.

"I can't believe you're 17." Daniella said to Natalie. 

"I'm old but have a childish mind. It's lovely." Nat winked at her and then sat down next to me. I looked down at my phone waiting to get a text, but I was also pretty sure it wasn't going to be sent. The other two started to wave at someone. I turned around and saw my other best friend.

"Did you follow us?" I asked jokingly. Dylan smiled and nodded.

"Of course. I'm you're number one fan!" He said in a girly voice. I laughed at him.

"Well, these two strange people are Natalie and Daniella." I pointed to each of them as they waved to him. Dylan was shocked to see Natalie. I raised an eyebrow, obviously I was confused.

"You seem like you know me..." Nat slowly stated. 
"Well...I mean, it's just. Not that I do. It's just, I used to have a crush on you when I saw you in-" 
"Hope for Tomorrow. Yeah, I get that a lot." She laughed. His face turned red as he smiled. I felt a strange vibe from what happened but I didn't want to figure out what it was.

"Well, what are you doing here?" I asked hoping to get away from this situation. 

"I came by here once, I wanted to come by today. It seemed like a nice day." He smiled. I nodded.
"Right, well we were just about to leave." I said quickly. The girls seemed confused until I glared at them.

"Yeah. Totally." They said in unison.
"Hey before we go. Here's my number." Natalie said writing on a piece of paper and handing it to Dylan.

"We could hang out and talk more." She smirked and turned around to follow us towards the car. She seemed happier than a fat kid getting cake. I entered the passenger seat and turned on the radio.

"Seems like Nat's going to get friendly with the new kid she just met." Dani said with a smug smile.
"Hey! His best friend is right here!" 
"Trust me, I'm not going to take him away. He just seems like a pretty nice guy, plus he's hot." I smiled at Natalie, happy that she found someone but I still couldn't shake the feeling I got earlier when Dylan said he had a crush on my best friend. I didn't want to ignore the thought, but I had to. This was going to be a good day and I was going to keep it like that.

"Bye guys! I'll text you when I get the chance" I waved to the two as they drove away. I walked into my house and sat down on the couch. I took out my phone ready to text the group chat until another text popped up.

You're friend seems pretty cool. Can't believe I actually got her number.

I laughed to myself and responded

she called you hot and nice. you should be proud :P

I stopped to think about who else it might be and I immediately thought who it could be.

Gotchaa. I'm also bringing Natalie though.

I shut my phone off and threw it on my brothers' bean bag chair. I sang to myself quietly until I fell asleep on the couch.

This chapter was short and probably boring, but I promise the next chapters I will try to make interesting and stuff.I was going to update yesterday but i didn't have time, I went to a concert and came home extremely late. I will update tomorrow though so yeah. But that's it. Again thank you for everything :)!
