Chapter 18- Dates and Feelings

Oliver's POV
When I wake up I can see Thea sitting next to me.
"Where's Felicity?"
"Ollie! You're awake!"
"Where is she?"
"Mom wouldn't let her in."
"What?"
"She's back Ollie and she's not happy about Felicity. Diggle called me and told me what happened. He took her to his apartment."
"What happened?"
"You were poisoned. Cobra venom."
"I can't believe I did that to Felicity..."
"She was worried about you. I couldn't get her to stop crying once they got you here. Ollie she didn't even start until they said you were flat lining."
"I want to talk to her."
"What about-"
"I'm in charge of who sees me. I don't want mom near this hospital and I want Felicity here as soon as possible."
"I'll call her." Thea stands and leaves the room to call her. I can't believe I put Felicity through that. It must have been Isabel, she was the one who gave me the water.
"She's on her way."
"Thank you Thea."
"I think she had tears of joy when I told her you were awake."
"When can I leave anyway?"
"Here's the part you won't like. You can leave as soon as all the poison is out of your system, but you have to do physical therapy for two weeks."
"What?"
"You were nearly paralyzed-"
"Oliver!" I look and see my favorite blonde run into the room. She wraps her arms around me and I hold her tightly..
"I thought I lost you...." She chokes out between the tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Hey.... Your not going to loose me." I continue to hold her until she stops crying. She finally stops and I wipe the remaining tears off her cheeks.
"I'm okay, okay?" She nods her head once. She stands up and Diggle comes in.
"Oliver your mom is outside. She wants to see you. None of them will let her though, she isn't happy about it."
"Then let her be unhappy. You and Felicity are just as much family. If she doesn't accept that, she can't come."
"Alright, I'll make sure she doesn't come in."
"I'll go talk to her Ollie." They both leave the room, so just Felicity is left. She sits down in the chair next to me.
"I'm glad your okay."
"I couldn't leave you."
"You're sweet."
"Felicity, I was wondering if you would be my date to the winter ball?"
"Really?"
"Yes."
"You're being serious?"
"Yes." Her face lights up like a Christmas tree for the first time in a while.
"I would love too."
"Great."
