Amias was infuriated causing strife in the garden as I tried to protect the plants and surrounding areas from his wraith with a barrier.
"That wretched creature dares to make claim on my mate!"
Lightening shot from his arms and all around within two meters. The spectacle was such a surprising sight, I wasn't sure how I was able to fight him myself before without getting burnt to a crisp. Just the thought of being electrocuted or burned via fire was enough to send shivers up my arms at how close to danger I really was before.
"If it wasn't for the restrictions, I would've ended his own existence by now, argh!"
"Amias stop you're going to end up tearing the place apart at this rate!" I tried to yell over all the noise of destruction hoping to get through to him, but he kept escalating the damage further spiraling further into his own head I assume.
'I need to stop him now before he ruins this entire realm with his childish tantrum'
I was the only one around or able to stop his rampage meaning it was left to me. If this realm were to cease, then everything in the other worlds would also cease and life would be meaningless for me who was immortal, not that it even seems like he cared at the moment.
"Fuck! I don't want to do this it's going to hurt I just know it." I shook my head in despair as I tried to mentally prep myself for what I was about to do.
"Stop you! You fucking manchild of a man!" I screamed while charging forward hoping to get through to him one last time.
I ran into the chaos being singed by the flying bolts the lightening turned my hair to ash as I wrapped my arms around his electric body as we both slammed into the ground. I could already feel myself healing as gold light glittered about on the ground and my blackened skin restored with nothing but ash in place where my blood would be.
"Evelyn!" He shouted finally snapping out of his fit and tried to grab me as I rolled off of him.
"Ugh, that was worse than I thought it'd be" I coughed out some soot as I tried to clear out my lungs.
"My love how could you harm yourself in such a way, especially with your condition!"
"Shut up! I only did this because you wouldn't listen, so stop already enough is enough!" I didn't want to hear anything this bastard had to say after the pain I just went through.
He tried to make a grab for me again, but I just rolled away into a crouched position as I tried to get my bearings. He made a step toward me and then halted when I used my own magic to freeze him.
"Evelyn wait, where are you going? We're not done yet"
"I'm going back, now that I know that it wasn't one of your schemes I have to do something to stop that thing before it can strike again."
"But-" I cut him off.
"I'll talk with you later, right now I don't have the energy to deal with you after that stunt you just pulled. I need to rest; I don't care how much you threaten me I will do all that I can to protect those people even if it means going against you or anybody else." I walked off disappearing from his sight as I woke up back into my real body.
I groaned at the headache the whole situation gave me holding my head in both hands. Lune shoved herself into my form I assume to check if I was okay.
"I'm back girl don't worry." I guess my scene must've freaked everyone out considering I was back in my chambers with flowers all about like an offering.
"Sigh, what am I going to do Lune? This is just too much on my plate right now." The little mare nuzzled me again wanting to give me some comfort as I lay back with her in the bed.
A knock sounded at the doors.
"Your majesty are you awake?" It was the high priestess' voice.
"Yes, I'm back you may come in."
The whole ragtag team huddled in with anxious faces.
"Your grace we were so worried!" Some of the servants began, but Sandra shushed them into silence.
"Sorry about that."
"Your majesty what happened exactly, I assumed you would be alright since Lune was still here with us in her usual form. However, it didn't seem like something you planned either." I felt a pang of guilt at her words, though the incident was not entirely my fault.
"I was attacked unexpectedly by a foreign power outside of what should be here." I spoke calmly, but the crowd still erupted into gasps and fear was evident in their expressions.
"Everyone out other than those in charge who need to be informed as for anybody that is leaving, please don't let this information leave this room until instructed otherwise." The head priestess quickly handled things and arranged a meeting with all the officials leading the town so that I could further explain things. I sat in the front of the hall on an embellished seat will the others were situated before me like a grand audience. I wasn't sure how to proceed without alarming them too much, but the threat took priority over worrying about sugarcoating my words.
"The kingdom that once persecuted you now has its eyes on you once again. The new king was only able to come into that throne due to the help of another force something that is not divine or known by myself or my husband." I didn't want to call him that, but it was necessary to emphasize my point and technically we were still married because divorce doesn't exist to gods.
"I am sorry to you all for that being has only targeted you due to my presence in this world. I understand you have already lost so much and would no longer wish for me to be here." I held my breath awaiting what they would say.
"My lady you are our saving grace. We all are faithful followers of you till the end and that will not change no matter how many times we are chased or hated. Please do not leave us and rely on your loyal servants to assist in any way we can to stop the enemy from doing you harm, for any attack on you is an attack on all of our community." Sandra spoke with such conviction, yet you could hear the desperate plea in between the lines of her words.
The whole nodded in unison in agreement bringing tears to my eyes at how selfless these people really were to still put themselves in harm's way for me. I pushed back the emotions trying to choke me and replied to their sincerity with equal sentiment.
"I will do all that I can to protect you so that no harm shall reach you by any means necessary without hesitation." The horde cheered as they rejoiced at my words. I smiled back at them with all the confidence I had though in reality on the inside my anxiety only grew more. I still had it in my mind's eye Amias while currently we were at odds he was really the only ally I could turn to if things went wrong. Though we were both immortal gods we still had no full understanding where that entity came from or what it could do and underestimating something unknown would only lead to disaster.
