I sensed the first defense go down a few kilometers outside the entrance; everyone was alert moving to their designated areas. Those who wouldn't be fighting had already evacuated into the temple where an underground tunnel led to another area below my sacred forest. The was no one who could possibly touch them not even Amias himself if he wanted since it was the place where only my magic was allowed and anything else would be rejected and removed. I was optimistic we would win considering we were gods in this realm; however, I still remained cautious of the unknown.

We stood there on the frontlines hidden among my defensive vines scouting ahead with our scopes. I could create anything I imagined even artillery, but the magic didn't last long so it was better to conserve my energy by using my affinity for life. The greenery wouldn't need humans to use them which made for better efficiency of our warriors with limited numbers compared to those of the kingdom. Our war mounts all had armor I prepared with my magic with a piercing horn atop their heads. The others were given armor made from magic ore I created for the smiths to use for crafting. Every detail I could think of was taken into consideration up to this point. The commander had even once commented about fire being used against us so I had to explain how with my magic they would not burn so easily to give them consolation. I could sense the presence of that entity slithering about searching for me most likely. Amias had gone quiet so as not to distract me from battle while Lune and I began to make our move to flank the enemy from behind. In our territory the runes I engraved would be able to aide us to an extent and even give buffs to our fighters. The paladins were split into groups so we could be covert when attacking. The invisibility wouldn't last for long until the enemy would catch on, so we had to make the limited momentum count to decimate their numbers as much as possible.

A firework was shot into the sky signaling the ambush while the army was distracted.

"Now Lune go!"

I aimed straight for that thing taking out as many soldiers on the way wanting to assist my comrades as much as I could. I wasn't heartless I knew these people must have families of their own awaiting their return, but this was war and I had to make peace with the fact that there was not wrong or right in this. This battle would only allow for one mindset, us versus them. Some would call it dissociation others hypocritical of me or even callus. To me nothing mattered more than ending this before my husband arrived. Though the others were safeguarded in my forest the people on the battlefield were not, that would be all the leverage he needed in order to force me back before I could save them from the kingdom.

'Clang!'

My sword reverberated with force as we clashed with the now humanized form of the being. Lune was sideswiped as I tumbled off before its claws could reach me. He kept changing from monstrous limbs to misty plumes of smoke. His body seemed to have difficulty keeping still. Lune was up ready to charge once more as I shaped my weapon into a lance, glowing with magic in order to penetrate and kill. He seemed bemused by the action as he chuckled and dashed forward. I rushed with Lune both of us buzzing with energy from the runes. Lune was able to graze him with her horn giving me an opening as he dodged, I thrust forward hoping to at least wound him severely. Black inky liquid sprayed against my cheek as I hit his left shoulder. He withdrew quickly pulling back and out of my lance gripping where a hole was left. The scene was graphic, yet I somehow didn't feel any disgust or revulsion. He coughed up some more of the black blood and smiled menacingly.

"I didn't think you would actually be able to injure me; this is truly marvelous." His words confused me as I tried to figure out what he was thinking.

"Too bad this game ends now." I felt an urge of dread rise as his face morphed into the handsome chiseled jawline, I knew all too well.

"What the hell is going on?" I yelled wanting an answer from the bastard that stood before me.

"Amias what is this!" The war going on in the background suddenly seemed so insignificant as the world around us quieted to a stop. Lune and everyone around us were frozen in time.  He and I were the only ones left moving as he began to saunter over.

"Don't you dare, we aren't finished here." I warned icily.

He didn't heed my warning and was almost within reaching distance as I kept backing away.

"If you keep running away, I will kill that horse along with every other living being on this land." I stopped in my tracks not wanting to provoke his anger knowing he would make good on that threat.

He grinned broadly thinking he already won, but I wasn't about to let him win so simply. Before his fingers could grip my arm, I had vines sprout forth in a surprise move restraining him as I used the runes to gather magic to keep him in place. The amount of concentration to keep him trapped was going to drain me eventually unless I figured something out now before reaching my limit. Time started to move again and the surroundings with the sudden noise was enough to snap my focus momentarily for him to break free.

"Aah!"

I was thrown back as my power rebounded, Lune was in front trying to protect me from his assault. She was pinned down in an instance while he approached at a leisurely pace. I tried to get up but was struck to the ground as he threw a hazy formed sword into my leg. I screamed from the pain as the blade lodged itself further into the flesh of my thigh. This was nothing compared to the lightening though it still hurt just the same. I braced myself preparing to pull it out.

"Don't." He was already on top of me instantly gripping my chin roughly.

I spat into his face with all the anger and resentment I could muster wanting to get back at him even if it was only a little. He smirked using his other hand to wipe the spit into his mouth savoring it like some kind of pervert.

"That's a new fetish you suddenly turning into a hedonist?" Not sure what to think now considering I was trapped beneath him and was forced to now only watch how things unfold; his mannerisms seemed to be a little different.

"Hedonist, is that what your preference is?" He suddenly licked his lips teeth gleaming in his sly smile and then his mouth descended onto mine. I sucker punched him hitting squarely on the jaw trying to deter him from touching me.

"No matter how hard you fight that power will be mine along with any other creation you make. All of you will be mine." I was perplexed once again by what he was saying. His words made no sense which gave me pause. He took that chance to rip off the armor from my torso as I fought to keep him away from my chest.

"The concentration of mana is coming from here!" He was trying to touch my breast where the markings lay glowing. I was struggling with all my energy to keep him from reaching it and the earth began to tremble. Amias was suddenly struck off me by lightening being electrocuted midair.

"How dare you touch my wife you cretin!" A voice shouted from above me somewhere. A voice belonging to none other than Amias himself which begged the question how was there two of him now?
