In that moment I took the opening as my chance to move, I gather my magic creating more armor after throwing him off with force blasting him back. He propelled himself to landing in a one knee knelt position. Amias was on him blasting him with lightening with lightening fists while simultaneously punching him sending sparks everywhere. The entity with Amias face was losing miserably from the looks of things it seemed like a one-sided fight. As he kept his twin pinned down, I swiftly went to work on helping the paladins of my temple fight back the opposing forces.

"C'mon Lune let's help the others!"

I broke through their defense after hopping back on my mares back riding with newfound power that was gathering from around us. I felt like I could breathe again strangely enough the farther away I got from the main fight. I called out to the commander and made way for him to follow. We charged straight towards the enemy head of their elite forces. I know from our strategic talks once the leaders were taken out the moral of the military would fade and most likely retreat. Amias tried to convince me to entirely wipeout the kingdom, but I knew better. From what I could gather the majority of the civilians had no clue as to the suffering of the slums or what went on beyond their own little cities. I wanted to try for minimal casualties that one could accomplish in war which isn't much, but it is better than complete annihilation of unsuspecting innocents.

"We've got them flanked, close in for pincher!"

After killing a couple of the generals, the rest of the leaders began to fall and surrender. Loud blasts and bright explosions could be seen from afar where Amias was still raining down hell on earth to his demented twin. I still didn't understand what was going on or how he was able to morph into him. I assumed maybe it was a strange power maybe like ours, but I wasn't entirely convinced since he hadn't reacted to Amias presence until they physically collided.

"We've got it covered here your grace please don't stay back on our account and go assist your husband to ease your worry." He bowed his head in respect not seeing my baffled expression.

'I wasn't looking at them because I was worried about my husband, but rather I was thinking if I can take down that bastard myself since he's spending so much energy mauling that other monster.'

I could only assume perhaps no one had seen what I did when I left them to battle on their own.

"Okay, I'll leave things to you here then and see what has transpired between those two. Keep steady Lune were going back!"

She galloped hard as her steps flew us through the wind. She was breathing hard; my poor girl was about to reach her limit of stamina pretty soon. I poured a bit of magic from the air into her body hoping to help ease her exhaustion. Sweat was starting to bead on my forehead which was already slick with gold glitter.

"Why won't you die!" I heard Amias shout before a huge explosion blasted us on our ass. Lune dizzily tried to get us back up, but I pushed her back down.

"No Lune wait here I think you might've banged your head." I concentrated trying to heal whatever internal injuries could've occurred.  As soon as she recovered, she tried to get back up.

"No girl you have to stay here." I used some magic to make her sleep and brought up a shield around her with some runes I drew in the ground.

"I'm sorry girl, but I don't want you to get hurt even if it's for me."  I kissed her on the top of her muzzle before leaving to confront what was going on in front of us.

"What the fuck?" I gasped as a bloodied mass of flesh that was the twin of Amias started to rise again after being struck by magic continuously. Amias himself   was looking winded and frustrated hitting again and again the blob of bloody flesh and black smoke. An eyeball was hanging out of its socket singed around some edges the smell making me want to wretch.

"I think I'm going to be sick what the hell is that thing?" After getting a little closer I could see the hand that was being used to punch was burnt down to the bone the flesh trying to regenerate but unable due to continued use for the assault.

"I've already said your power will be mine and I will absorb all of you, you cannot win even you cannot kill me." The disgusting thing was using magic to speak since its body was already destroyed beyond what could make intelligible words. My real husband was sweating his body glittering with golden perspiration with his powers on full display. Yet still this thing wanted me and my power it made no sense.

"Why is it you want my power so bad? Is this god who is beating you down now not even worthy in your eyes?" The thing grinned with its warped face falling apart.

"Is that what he is, is that what you are?" He tilted his head as if curious, but the action looked so disgusting with the current malformed shape he was in.

"What even are you?"

"I am the god of this world and of the kingdom that worships me. I am the salvation for this world and to bring forth the prosperity and make this planet thrive I need your power." I could feel the drive of obsession in his words this thing whatever it was wasn't something that could be controlled, erasing it from existence seemed like the only solution.

"Amias, we need to erase this thing from creation." I stated making known what decision I'd made in how to wrap this up.

"We can't."

"What do you mean we can't? I saw the spell to cut him out of reality, we can!"

"NO, WE CANNOT!" He shouted as if to take out his anger on me instead of the thing he was currently trying to kill.

"I don't understand why we can't?"

"Because he is me."

"How is he you, when your right in front of me fighting him, are you saying you're fighting yourself?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, he is this dimensions' version of me."
