"Thanks for the ride home." I smile.

"No problem." Hayden says. "We have to hangout again soon."

"Of course. I'll text you." I say as I get out.

"Okay."

He drives away and I go inside. My moms car is in the driveway but the house is dark and quiet. "Shh." I hear someone say quietly in the living room.

I go into the living room and turn on the light. I immediately turn around when I see a naked man on top of my mom. "What the hell?" I snap.

"Aria. Please don't tell Ryan." She pleads.

I quickly go up the stairs, locking my bedroom door behind me. Ew. I am scarred for life. I try to shake the image away but it sticks in my brain. I hear footsteps on the stairs then a door close. After a moment, there's a knock on my door. "Go away!" I say loudly.

"We need to talk." My mom says.

I open my door and push past her. "I don't want to talk to you." I say.

"Aria, don't walk away from me."

"Why would you do that on the couch? I sit on that." I say exasperated. "And you're supposed to be with Ryan."

"It's complicated." She sighs.

I walk out the front door, closing it behind me. As I walk down the street, I pull out my phone. Debating on whether to call Owen, Hayden or Ryan, I decide to call Ryan first. "Hello?" He answers.

"Where are you?" I ask.

"My parents house. They just left for my cousins open house in Florida. Why?"

"I just walked in on my mom having sex with some guy." I frown.

He stays quiet which scares me. "Damn it!" He says loudly.

I didn't realize he would be so mad. He's with me, there's no reason for him to be mad. Right? "Will you pick me up?" I ask.

"Sure. Where are you?"

"At the stop sign on the corner of our street." I say.

"I'm on my way." He says before hanging up.

I slip my phone into my back pocket and walk back to the house. Quietly sneaking back in, I go up to my room where I throw clothes into a bag then go back downstairs. I walk to the stop sign thinking about Ryan's reaction. If they broke up, I'd have him all to myself. Hearing his reaction makes me think he loves her or something. A shiver creeps down my spine from the thought.

Ryan's stops the car next to me and reaches over, pushing the door open. I climb in, setting my bag by my feet. "Thanks for picking me up." I say, looking out the window.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"I'm fine." I say, glancing at him.

"Do you wanna go home with me? I have my parents house to myself." He says.

I glance at the time and realize it's already quarter after midnight. I'm officially nineteen. I bite my lip to keep my smile hidden. "Sure."

He begins driving and I stare out the window. "Do you know who she was with?" He asks.

"No. I didn't really see his face."

"We promised we wouldn't see anyone else." He frowns.

"I don't understand why you're so upset. Do I mean anything to you?" I say, a little annoyed.

"Of course. I didn't think she'd cheat though."

"Well, she did." I sigh.

"I got you a present. It's waiting at the house." He says, changing the subject.
