A beatdown... that's all there is to it. Ai and her friends were completely overwhelmed by the mysterious individual. Even with three gods in the team, they were defeated effortlessly. Sunday was tossed through a wall, Durin was thrown into the mining structures, and Khoi was buried in rubble.
Ai, Cipher, and Natsumi still stood, but badly injured. They were tired from the fighting, while the dark man didn't break a sweat.
???: "Furfur, where is Vepar and the Worldbearing Gnosis...?"
Ai: "Why...WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, RERIR!?!?!"
She shouts with fury and sadness toward an old friend whom she respected back in Khaenri'ah. A person of once great esteem... has now become a monster.

Rerir: "It does not matter to you...answer the question. Where is Vepar? I will not ask again."
Ai's lightning sparks on her body as she lunges at him with her polearm, but he zooms out of the way, and Ai feels something puncture her body. She looks down to see his claws in her stomach. She blinks and finds herself back where she was, and Rerir is still staring at her.
Ai: 'What was that...? Was that a death-induced hallucination...? If I charged at him now...I would be dead...'
Ai hyperventilates, but then hundreds of daggers rain down on Rerir, and an explosion erupts behind her.
Khoi: "COME ON, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!"
Rerir: "You're not going anywhere, insects. This cave shall be your tomb."
Rerir charges at Natsumi, but Khoi's spirit spear turns into its first form, charging up and slightly surprising the man.
Khoi: "FUCK YOU!!!!"
The flower blasts Rerir at full power, launching him toward a wall and burying him in debris, and shaking the area.
Khoi: "Come on!"
Sunday grabs Ai's shoulder, snapping her out of her fear. The group ran to the hole in the wall made by Durin, and Sunday blocks it up with vines and thorns.
Khoi: "Ok, who the hell was that?!"
Ai: "A person of once great esteem in Khaenri'ah! Someone who should've helped the Nation but abandoned it! I don't understand why he's here! However, there's one thing you should all know. Despite me, Cipher, and Natsumi being Gods, we can't beat him!"
Durin: "Let's get as far away as possible! That man is a monster!"
The group jumps into hole after hole that lead deeper into the Chasm. All while Rerir is hot on their heels. He jumps toward them, and Khoi turns his spirit spear into a large barrier, blocking him off.
