Deep within the Akademiya, inside a cell, Scaramouche's familiar, Lingsha, is seen sitting at the wall, looking slightly pale. On her lap was a large egg that she held close. She hears footsteps and sees The Doctor arriving with two of the Corps of Thirty beside him as he grinned at her.

Dottore: "Good morning, young dragon. I see you are still territorial."
Lingsha glares at him and growls.
Lingsha: "Where is my master?"
Dottore: "Ah, yes, you still miss him. Don't worry, he is doing fine. He is serving his purpose, and his goal of becoming a god is going smoothly. If you would like, I can take you to him."
Lingsha knows not to trust him; all she can think in her mind was Scaramouche. As his familiar, she has to make sure he is ok.
Dottore: "Open the cell. And follow me."
The guard nods and opens the cell. Lingsha stands up and holds her egg close, like the protective mother she is. As a dragon, she is highly protective, and Dottore knows that, but he doesn't care. He likes testing the waters; it's in his nature as a scholar, a scientist, and a doctor. They go into a secret research facility underground, and Lingsha's eyes widen when she sees Scaramouche inside a giant machine.

Lingsha: "What...what are you doing to him?"
Dottore: "I am simply fulfilling his wish. Creating a god is child's play to me. As for why you are here...it's simple. You are part of this experiment."
Lingsha: "What do you mean?"
Dottore: "Her Majesty, The Tsaritsa, has given me an order to create something that can challenge the might of the Black Dragon Acnologia. His reemergence has frightened her quite a bit, and she wishes for a weapon that can slay the beast. Since you are a descendant of the Dragon King Nibelung, you have powers that make any mere mortal look like an ant."
