Genshin Impact: Transcended Tempest

Interlude Chapter: Fatui Raid-Ferry of Souls, A Broken Existence

This takes place 1 day before the Windblume Festival

In an unknown part of Teyvat that connects Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan, three fatui harbingers are seen walking together with a large group of soldiers. The harbingers in question were The Captain, Il Capitano, The Damselette, Columbina, and The Knave, Arlecchino. Thanks to some intel gained by The Doctor, they were able to locate an entity connected to a god, and that could be of use to the Fatui. While the Captain wasn't on board with manipulating since he's not that type, Columbina and Arlecchino were told to accompany him, as this being is potent, even in its weakened state.

Fatui Agent: "My Lord, we're approaching the target area."

Capitano: "Good. Spread out and surround the perimeter. Leave no openings and cover point A to B on ensuring a successful capture."

Fatui soldier: "Yes, Sir!"

His men move ahead to take their positions.

Columbina: "My my, it seems this is a serious matter. I wonder what kind of creature we're facing?"

Capitano: "I can sense it..."

Columbina: "Sense what?"

Capitano: "...The Ruler of Death's power..."

Arlecchino: "Could it be a connection to them?"

Capitano: "Highly likely...come on."

The three harbingers walk forward, and they see a large, broken tower. 

Columbina: "A Tower..."

Arlecchino: "Familiar?"

Columbina: "...Too familiar...a bygone time..."

Capitano: "It seems the entity we're looking for has taken refuge inside."

Columbina: "If this being has a connection to the Ruler of Death, could it be the key to ending your immortality?"

Capitano: "Possibly...and they could help me with this..."

Capitano places his hand where his heart is.

Columbina: "Then I wish you the best of luck."

The Captain opens the doors with a loud creak, seeing that it's dark inside, but he can make out that the tower is an absolute mess. It was ruined, with cobwebs everywhere, debris on the ground, and so on. There was also a staircase leading up. The Captain commanded a few of his men to go forward as they all climbed the stairs to the top of the tower. As they climbed up the stairs, Columbina looked out of a hole in the wall leading outside and stared up at the moon. Capitano, without looking back, can sense Columbina's feelings.

Capitano: "He will fulfill his promise, we just have to wait."

Columbina: "...I'm aware."

Capitano: "Worldbearing is a heavy ideal, but he has the capacity to do it."

Columbina: "Hm..."

The fatui reach the top floor, and Columbina's face turns into shock upon seeing the broken moon in the sky. Her heart starts to beat rapidly as flashbacks play in her mind. Capitano places his hand on her shoulder.

Capitano: "What happened in the past is the past. We are in the present. He will ensure those horrific events do not play out again."

Columbina takes a deep breath and calms down.
