I'm hiding behind a mask

Keeping everything inside

When there's nowhere to run or hide

That way I won't be hurt

Won't be buried by others

And covered by dirt

Nobody can touch me 

I can finally be free 

To do what I wish 

Without anyone looking at the inside

Instead, I let them see the outside

If they prove to me that they're sincere 

And promise to see and hear 

My voice

My personality

My story

Then I'll show my true colors 

And I won't have to keep
