Maybe it's not a bad thing, right?

Think again

It starts off in high school

They're the ones who have a mean streak

And pick on all the "freaks"

They strut down the hallway

Keeping their enemies at bay

Everyone wants to be them

Yet, at what cost?

When all empathy is lost?

Means to not care for others

Who are not like them

To wear strange clothes

There is still so much to bear

Those popular kids

Will now have to face the limelight

Which is so bright

Surrounded by paparazzi

Being constantly interviewed

And observed under a microscope

Never getting a chance of privacy

Which is more important

Than a big paycheck

Than a sports car

Than a spacious mansion

So why would anyone want to be popular?

I'm unique

And a free individual

I'm happy that I don't have to deal with
