When all is lost

At such a high cost

You feel defeated

Perhaps there's some regret

And self pity

But don't let that knock you down

Strive to overcome all obstacles

And you'll get back up

Still, all you want to do is mope

Don't give in; there's still hope

Everywhere you look 

In nature and in real life

A ray of sunlight among the darkness

A silver lining among the clouds

An optimist among all the pessimists

So keep your chin up

When all is lost
