Lydia's POV:
"It's perfect."
"Allison, we're going to a bowling alley not the Grammys." She held up sparkly gold tank top to my tiny figure as I stood in front of a mirror. She'd already forced me into a pair of white wash skinny jeans, the last thing I needed was to wear anything that showed off my skinny figure. I'd always worn baggy clothing, a size too large, that way no one knew how skinny I actually was. I don't know why but I hated things that clung to my body. No beuno. It was a surprise that I even owned skinny jeans at all.

"What about this?" Allison reached into the back of my closet and held up a navy blue tank top. I rolled my eyes.

"No tank tops! Too much skin especially with a spaghetti strap." She squinted her eyes, deep in thought. She straightens her posture and shoves the top in my arms.
"Put it on." She commands, plopping down on my bed.

"I refuse." I cross my arms.
"Would you just trust me?! I let you keep the messy bun because A. You work it and B. You agreed that I could dress you. Now trust me and put it on."

I let out a huff of air before handing her my glasses and throwing the tank over my shoulders. I snatch the glasses back from her and place them gently on my nose, turning towards the mirror. The outfit was practical but obviously missing something. Allison stands and pulls few wisps of hair out in front of my ears. She hands me her killer light brown jacket and I put it on. Now the outfit was perfect. She has great taste.

"You. Are. Astonishing." She places my car keys in my hand and my purse in the other.

"Hey!" Scott and Stiles stood outside the bowling alley and Allison waved excitedly. I gripped the strap on my purse tighter as Scott and Allison started to converse. Stiles' eyes were glued to his phone as he leaned against the stair railing. I stood awkwardly behind Allison as her and Scott discussed lord knows what.

"Hey... Lydia?" Scott finally greats me and I smile. "Wow, you look great."
I chuckle. "Thanks. Miss fashion police refused that I go bowling wearing what I wore to school. In fact, I'm surprised she let me go to school dressed like that."

Allison hits me on the arm and Scott let's out a quick laugh. Suddenly, Stiles jitters to life, frantically joining us. His eyes lift off his phone screen and he starts to pat Scott on the back.

"God bless you and this freaking bowling idea!" He shouts and we all stare at him, confused.
"You hate bowling." Scott puts his hands in his pockets.
"Not anymore! One of the twins had Mono and if it wasn't for you I definitely would've gotten it."

The grin on Stiles' face was a little too excited for something like Mono. He sputters out a breath and puts his hands on his hips, turning towards us. "Hey Allison. Ly-" my name fails to leave his lips and a smile forms on my face.

"Lydia. In case you forgot." I remind him. Stiles' eyes are still glued onto my body, his mouth slightly open. I rock back and forth on my heels awkwardly as we all watch him in silence.

"We should probably go in, now..." I speak again. Scott clears his throat and walks up the stairs, Allison trailing behind him. Once out of Stiles' view, she throws me a wink and a thumbs up and I roll my eyes.

"Stiles? We're going in if you'd like to join us." I step forward and place my finger on the bottom of his chin, pushing his mouth closed. He blinks rapidly and I start to walk up the stairs. Where was my boost of confidence coming from?
