Chapter 51

James

I picked up two iced teas from Jenny, it's getting late so I also went and got a couple of burgers from Nat's diner as well. They are quick to make our food, and I leave a generous tip when it's time to go. The diner itself was packed tonight, mainly wolves and some of the normal townsfolk. It's obvious that word gets around about good food. Thankfully there really aren't any fast food places save one, and it's probably because it offers a drive thru that it's still open. I haven't bothered to visit it, I'd rather the coffee from potions, or the food from Nat's diner if I'm going to be honest with myself. I'll eventually branch out a bit, but I'd rather stick with smaller businesses.
When I get back in the car I think about the bar that has probably missed one or two mortgage payments. As soon as it's for sale, I'm buying it just to rub it in those rogue's faces. I might keep it as a bar, but I'll see what Nadia wants it to be when the time comes. I could use it as a wedding gift maybe. Which reminds me I have to get her mothers permission soon. I know it's been a fast paced relationship, but she's my soul mate. I don't want anyone else and I never will. She's my everything.
I drive back to the hotel going over in my head how I would ask permission to a human. I can bring her a gift! Are gifts customary? Maybe a gold necklace with a diamond charm? Is that too much?
By the time I park the car, I still have no idea what I'm going to do. I just know what I want to do, as soon as possible. But the thought of rogues being on Nick's lands bother me a bit. I hope they won't go after Nadia's mother. I text Nick to ask if he can have someone watch her mom's place for now. He tells me it's no problem, and that eases my anxiety a bit.

"Baby doll?!" I call as soon as I get into the hotel room. My hands are full, so I look for the closest surface to put everything down. I hear music playing loudly from the pool area and I grin. The only thing I can smell is cleansers and Nadia with that perfume that permeates from her skin in only the best of ways. It's close to the one she likes to wear, but I like her personal scent better.
"In here" Nadia calls and I head out towards the pool only to see her in a red two piece swimsuit that is ridden up on the top so I see a bit of her belly. I'm practically salivating at the sight. No matter how many times I see her naked, it's still not enough.
"Temptress" I chuckle as she pulls the top back down. "I brought food and sex. I mean tea.. I brought tea" I flushed a bit. I didn't mean to say that.
"Why don't you get in with me?" she asks. She's in the deep end and treading water like it's second nature. I can't say I'm surprised she's a strong swimmer. She grew up swimming in rivers. Pools don't have that under current that other bodies of water do.
As though to prove her point, she swims to the side of the pool and starts untying my shoes for me and I groan.
"I'm not hungry for food, I'm warning you" I tell her and she splashes me with water. "I got you food in case you need it" I keep going. She flicks water at me again.
"You're getting all wet" she practically purrs and I feel like all the blood has left my head for other parts of my body. I kick off my shoes and socks before taking off my clothes as fast as possible and leaving it on the chair behind me. I even lose the boxers in record timing. She giggles and starts swimming away before I jump in and I make a quick chase of her. She's almost in the shallow end when I grab her by the foot. She's a bit slippery and kicks away before making it to her goal. She gets to the shallow end and grins at me triumphantly as she gets to the stairs and sits down on them and watches me as I clamber after her. I should have taken swimming lessons more seriously in the past when I was a pup. I know how to swim, and I'm good at it. But this saucy little minx outswam me, and that will not do.
"Look at you, already in the pool" she teases. "I was just getting out" she grins and starts getting out. There's a hesitancy in her steps, so I know it's a game. I growl and lunge for her and she laughs while falling back into the water. "You smell like chlorine," she teases.
"So do you" I banter back and pull her against my body. She smiles looking up into my eyes and uses her right hand to toy in my wet hair. She pulls me in and kisses me hard on the lips.
"How was your meeting?" she asks, and I don't even want to think about it.
"It was fine, it's over and now it's just you and me" I pull her in for another kiss.
"And him" she dodges the kiss and I pull back to see Steve standing there looking mischievous.
"What in the absolute fuck are you doing here?" I demand, expanding my aura and enunciating my words so he knows how pissed I am.
"I brought you dessert, and I thought you'd both like to know that the bookstore had to close early" Steve continues to smirk.
"What? Why?" Nadia asks in shock.
"I was just there" I say, still outraged he's here.
"They ran out of stock. Cookies and cinnamon buns are next to your supper" Steve says and starts to walk out.
"Leave your key card next to the door, we were busy" I yelled at my brother's back.
"Don't worry, I won't" he laughs and I hear him walk back out of the hotel suite.

Nadia

I can't believe it. The store actually sold out. We've had twice the amount of stock in the back for so long. I know because when we do inventory, for every one book we sell we order two back. I'm grateful Steve came to tell us, it's fantastic news, but his timing is a little off. I was about to get what I've been craving all day.
"I'll go make sure he's gone" I say, starting to get out of the pool.
"No way, you stay here. He's not allowed to see what's mine" James growls and I want to preen. Eve has been fairly quiet since James got back. She was explaining that we are nesting, and that's why we only want James' scent in the bedroom. Nesting is very important for female wolves when they are getting ready to have pups, and only those who are invited are allowed in the bed. I figure James has permission already, and I have no doubt in my mind that he knows this.
I watch as he gets out of the pool and he walks with purpose to the main suite and I hear him lock the door with the latch. I take that time to get out of the pool and get into the hot tub, which is nice and clean. I turn on the jets and put my back up against one, enjoying the warm water bubbling around me. James comes back in, still naked and grins. He comes to the side of the hot tub and looks at me with heat in his gaze.
"You know, it's not fair that I'm naked, and you're not," he says smoothly.
"Oh this old thing bothers you?" I giggle. I go to start pulling it off, but he gets down into the hot water with me. He immediately starts helping me take off the top before he pulls me in for a soul searing kiss. All thoughts leave my body with his lips on mine, and I feel over heated again, and filled with need. I had wanted to tease him a little bit, but somehow he found a way to get to me. His tongue took dominance in the kiss as one hand held me by the back of the head, and the other hand was on my hip and he was grinding into me. I had to suck in air through my nose to breathe, but he just tipped me back further.
"It does bother me when we are alone" he pulls back from the kiss and we are both panting heavily. "Bottoms off, or else I'll tear them off" he warns and I'm quick to obey. Something about the way he's looking at me tells me he means business. As soon as the bottoms are off he picks me up and puts me on the side of the hot tub and his lips consume me again, while his hands find my breasts as he bends and folds the nipples to his will until they are peaked buds. I shiver slightly, moaning against his lips.
"Baby, I'm cold" I tell him. It's not a lie, my ass is cold in comparison to the rest of my body.
"Let's fix that, shall we?" he smirks and pulls me off of the side and brings me back into the water.
"Are you going to fix anything else?" I ask coyly, trying to urge on the mood.
"Minx," he chuckles, and positions me so my back is to his chest. He continues to play with my breasts as he leans down and nip on my earlobe before kissing a trail to my mate mark where he bites down playfully causing me to shiver for different reasons. The man knows how to play me like a fiddle. Every part of my body feels alive with electricity, just pumping through each vein at a moment's notice.
"Bend forward, baby doll" he murmurs and I follow his instructions. I put my knees on the seat that surrounds the hot tub and put my forearms on the side. He kisses a trail from my mate mark and down my spine until he meets water. I want him so badly it hurts. He notches the head of his dick at my entrance and pushes in slowly. He's going so slow it's almost painful so I push back and he's all the way in. He chuckles and in my head I know he's shaking his head. "Needy little thing, aren't you?" he asks.
