Carter hummed slightly as she shifted in her bed, turning on her back. She let out a peaceful sigh, not opening her eyes despite the sunlight pouring into the room through a small peak in the curtains. Instead, she tried her best to bury herself under the warmth of her blankets, desperate to enjoy the feeling while it lasted.

The smile on her face grew larger as a large arm snaked up around her waist, and Paul pulled her against his bare, hard chest. She felt him litter pecks across her jaw, kissing and biting as he turned her body entirely to face him. She opened one eye, the sight of Paul's swollen and groggy face melting her heart. She wrapped her arms around his neck, "Well, I most certainly wouldn't mind being woken up like this every day," she hummed. Paul grinned, "Careful what you wish for, I have much more in mind than kisses." he let out a playful growl, towering over her as he kept her firmly in place, his hands on her hips, and Carter laughed, going along with it.

He leant down to kiss her properly, and Carter hummed, cupping his face as she kissed him back. He held her gently as he kissed her feverishly, and Carter groaned. Kissing him never failed to make her dizzy, and every time their lips met, it made her feel like it was the first time all over again. Carter wound her hands into his hair, her lips parting on reflex as Paul bit her lower lip. She moaned lowly as he pulled at her lip, her fingers tugging his hair sharply.

Carter breathed heavily as Paul pulled away from the kiss, leaving her lips red and swollen, and Carter closed her eyes as he continued to place kisses on the corner of her mouth, her jaw and dragged his lips further down her neck. She gasped softly as he pressed himself into her further, and she tugged at his hair harshly. He let out a groan but didn't bother to stop.

"Fuck, Paul," she chuckled.

Her pleasurable morning was snapped away in a second as she heard the loud slam of their front door and the loud voice of Jared early in the morning, "morning, lovebirds!" he called loudly as Paul cursed under his breath and climbed off of Carter. He pulled on a pair of shorts he had thrown across the room last night as Carter lay back in bed, let out an annoyed huff.

Paul pointed a finger at Jared's hand, "We gave you that only for emergencies," he muttered, rubbing his face in irritation.

Jared plucked a grape out of the fruit basket that Carter spent so much time setting up and shrugged, "What? This old thing?" he raised the spare key, showing it to Paul, "This is an emergency, I have patrol with Carter."

"We know that, you idiot," Paul grumbled, "what does a guy have to do to get some privacy in his own damn cabin?" he ranted as Carter walked out of their room from behind him. She had slipped on a silk robe as she made her way to the kitchen, "How about not hand the one spare key he has to his friends of all people?" she muttered before slapping Jared on the back of his head, "at least wash them before you eat them, you ape," she said and Jared popped the small green fruit out of his mouth, staring at Carter who started to make coffee for herself.

"What?" he asked, "you didn't wash them? That's disgusting!"

Carter sipped on her coffee, "says the animal who rolls around in mud." She smirked as she heard her imprint cackle behind them.

It was after her patrol was done that she made her way to the Cullens' house. She smiled softly as she saw her goddaughter's head peek through the window, and she made her way out, running towards Carter. Carter chuckled slightly as she opened her arms, waiting for the younger girl to barrel into her arms. She let out a soft grunt as Renesmee made impact, and Carter huffed, "You sure are crazy strong, kid." She smiled as she grabbed her hand, pulling her into the house.
