I sit on Scott's couch, running my fingers up and down the arm. I scan the room, seeing everything a little more clearly. I read a radio clock, 3:40.
"Shouldn't you guys be getting to lacrosse practice?"
"It was cancelled for the rain." Scott opens the curtains, showing the dark clouds above.
"Where's Liam?"
"He went to go get the others."
"Shouldn't we have went with him?"
"He's gotta learn to do things for himself too, Kelli."
I get a little hot and begin running my fingers down the arm of the couch again.
I bring my hand to my mouth to bite my nails, noticing they had changed. Cotton began falling off the couch.
"I'm sorry, Scott. I'm sure I can get you a new one."
He turns the chair he was sitting in around, showing the scratches on the back.
"It's where we all go if we need to calm down."
"I'm calm. Just worried."
"He should be worried about you. You are pretty much his baby."
"Don't put it like that, Scott. I know you like it!" I point a finger at him.
My phone rings in my pocket as I pull it out. I see its Stiles.
"Hey. Is Liam on his way?"
"That's what Scott said. Is he not there yet?"
"He hasn't came to the main entrance. His car is here."
"Do you need us to come?"
"Yes, hurry. Bring some claws."
The call drops.
"Scott we need to go."
He begins racing out to his car. I run along with him in the rain. I get in the passenger seat as he starts his truck. He speeds off. His house wasn't far.

We pull up into the school and I see lights flickering in the alleyway. I rush to see all of our friends huddled, surrounded by a glowing blue older man.
"Get away from my friends." Scott growls.
The man turns around, growling back.
"Who do we have here?" He walks up to me, running his warm nails against my neck.
I close my eyes, shutting them tight.
"Leave her alone." I hear another growl from a distance.
I open my eyes, feeling the rush of anger running through me. I look up at the creature, my teeth beginning to come through.
"A beyta?"
I roar in his face, clawing his neck. Blood begins pooling in his shirt.
"You think you are tough huh?"
He heals and comes after me. Scott jumps in front of me.
"Don't take another step."
I see Liam behind the creature. I look over at him with sorrow eyes.
He jumps and the creature hits him, knocking him to the ground.
"Stop trying! You will never win."
"Maybe we will." Another werewolf jumps out of the alleyway.
"Who are you?"
The werewolf doesn't say anything, but looks to me.
He claws his face, just as Scott jumps on him. I hear a crack.
When he hits the ground, I run over to Liam, groaning.
"Liam? Are you okay?" I bring my hand to his cheek.
"Fine."
"Do you need help up?"
He nods.
"Stiles, come here. Can you help me move him?"
Stiles walks over, helping me bring Liam to the pavement. He moans under his breath, holding tightly to his side. I let his head rest in my lap as I look to the creature.
"You can run, or you can stay and I can break something else?"
"I'd run." Stiles replies.
The creature whines and begins running away.
"Who are you?" Scott walks to the werewolf that helped him.
He turns back into his human form and smiles at him.
"Scott? You don't remember me?"
"Theo?"
"In the flesh."
I grinned a little. Theo was very attractive, a nice jawline and smile. Don't even get me started on his hair.
"Stiles? Long time no see."
I couldn't keep my eyes off him. His eyes were even sexy.
"Hi." I look up at him.
"Hello."
I almost die at his deep manly voice.
Liam stands up quickly, getting in his face.
"Stay back." He points at me.
"Hey hey, just getting to know. Didn't know you claimed her."
"He hasn't claimed anything." I step forward.
"What's your name?"
"Kelli."
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl."
I blush a little at the thought.
"Thank you. So you knew Stiles and Scott?"
"Since grade school. I moved away, just moved back with my mom and dad. Just in time huh?"
"Yeah. Thank you for helping us. A beyta can't do much."
Liam turns around, thinking I was talking about him.
"You'll learn from your teacher. Which is?"
"Liam."
"Oh. I see."
"Come inside. Let's clean you up."
He smiles at the ground as I walk into the school.
"I don't know if I can trust him. Why come now?" I overhear Stiles talking to Scott.
"Can you not just be happy that's he's back? He might make Kelli happy."
Stiles looks back at me. I try catching up with Liam but he seems pissed.
"Hey! Liam!"
He turns around, crossing his arms at me.
"What?"
"What's wrong?"
"A beyta can't do anything?"
"I was talking about myself. Theo even said you have to teach me. I'm sure you are capable of doing anything."
He takes a deep breath and pulls me out by his car.
"I don't know if I can trust Theo, he just seems a little off."
"How can you judge before you get to know the guy?"
"I just know he's off. He's already flirting."
"So?"
"You like it?!"
"So.."
"Really, Kelli?"
"Sorry!" I run my foot over the ground.
"Hey, can you do me a favor?"
"Yeah. Anything."
"Meet me at Scott's."
"When?"
"After you clean 'him' up."
"I'll text you."
He hops into his car, driving away.
I turn around and run right into Theo.
"Oh sorry. Did I scare you?"
"No. No that's okay."
"Everyone is inside. Where's Liam?"
"He just left. He wants some sleep." I lied.
"Oh."
"Yeah. Let's go."
I walk side by side with Theo into the school. I see everyone smiling for once.
"What's up?" Scott looks over at me, eyeing to Theo and back to me.
"Nothing. Liam headed home."
"Why?"
"Tired."
"Doesn't mean we can't have fun."
"Can't we like get in trouble?" Theo looks to me and then everyone else.
"I don't think Scott cares."
~
I dap Theo's face with a wash rag. He sits on the library table and I stand in front of him. He was a lot bigger than me.
"So, how long have you gone to Beacon Hills?"
"Not long, a few months."
"And you are already a werewolf?"
"Beyta. Haha. Yeah."
"What happened?"
"When I changed? Liam is still a beyta but he's still training and all. He was on a full moon rampage and bit me, not to mention he pushed me off a cliff in the process."
"What?! Damn. Full recovery I see." He smiles again.
"Yeah, still hurts my back sometimes but yah know." I set the wash rag on the desk.
"So, when did you come back to Beacon Hills? And why? It sucks here."
"I want to become part of Scott's pack."
"Why?"
"He's just strong. I'm not."
"I'm sure you are."
"Not really."
"Hey guys. We are heading out, are you coming?"
"Yeah. One second."
"Why do you let yourself down so easily?"
"I don't grow up good, never have."
"What do you mean?"
"My parents, they just don't understand me."
"Oh. I get that."
I feel my phone vibrating.
"We should go."
"Alright."
I grab my phone and answer the call.
"Hello?"
"Kelli! Where are you? It's past 10."
"I'm studying with my friends remember? It's Friday, Mom!"
"Fine. Call when you are on your way."
"Okay. I love you."
"Love you too."
I hang up and immediately get a message from Liam.
Liam: I'm here, come find me.

I hop into Scott's car as we begin driving to his house.
Kelli: Is this supposed to be a serious game of hide and seek?
Liam: Just come find me.
Kelli: It's kinda hard to find you when I have no idea what's going on.
Liam: I'm in Scott's house. See you soon.
Kelli: Alright, buddy.

We pull up into Scott's driveway and I get out, opening the door. I turn on the light and begin smelling something good.
"Are you cooking something?"
"No. Why?"
"Something smells good."
"Theo had to head home."
I walk down the hall and see all doors open except one. I open the door, seeing a cupcake sitting on a plate on the bed.
I sit down on the bed.
Kelli: Is this supposed to be a really late birthday party?
Liam: Whatever.

I take a bite of the cupcake, savoring all the flavors.
Kelli: I still haven't found you. Am I close?
Liam: I'm not in the house anymore.
"Scott, do you have a backyard?"
"Yeah, why?"
I walk out of the room.
"Where is Liam?" Kira asks.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out."
"He's training you." Scott smells the cupcake on me.
"This is a fun way of training."
I walk outside and step on the cold porch.
"Liam?"
I feel hands cover my face and hit the figure behind me.
"Ow."
"Shit, Liam. I'm sorry. Thought you were training me." I chuckle, running my finger over the small bump on his forehead.
"It's fine, follow me." He grabs my hand.
I begin feeling something in my toes, and my fingers. He leads me to a small blanket.
"What is this?"
"Just a little thing."
He lays down and motions for me to.
I lay down next to him, putting my arms behind my head.
The stars and moon glow on my skin.
"Liam, it's a full moon."
"Take a deep breath and control yourself."
I listen and follow his directions. I feel a twitch in my hands. I bring my nails to my hand and hold them tightly together.
"That's it. You are doing it."
I open my eyes, looking over to him. His face was inches from mine. I stare into his eyes.
"Liam, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Is this part of my training?"
I pull my face towards his and lay my lips on his, only for a millisecond.
"Uh um. I gotta go."
