Liam smiles for a minute.
"Come on, let's go."
I run to Scott's car and get in the drivers seat. I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket as I begin pulling out of the parking lot.
"Liam can you get my phone?"
He looks at me awkwardly and pulls it out my front pocket and looks at it.
"It's your boyfriend."
He shows me the screen.
I grab it from his hand and stick it up to my ear.
"Theo?"
"Hey. Where are you?"
"Something happened, we left school."
"We?"
"Everyone except Lydia."
"And me?"
"Yeah, sorry. I have to go."
"What's going on? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Theo. I really am. I promise you that I'm fine."
"Okay. Talk to you later."
"Bye."
"Where exactly is Tracy going?"
"I don't know. Should we go to the police station?"
"And tell them a chimera is running around with a huge tail?"
"Parrish and Stiles' dad know."
"Seriously?"
"They have known for a while."
"Let's go then, I guess."

I approach the police station with caution, seeing the lights were flickering.
"Stay behind me." Liam walks ahead.
"I can take care of myself, Liam." I push him back.
"Parrish's and Stilinksi's office is down here." Liam ignores me and goes ahead.
I walk to where he points and open the door, seeing nothing.
"Parrish?"
Nothing.
"No one is in here."
I turn around and don't see Liam.
"Liam?!"
I walk out of the office and see Lydia on the ground, choking.
"Lydia, oh my god."
"Stay- back." Blood runs down her cheek.
I hear heavy breathing behind me and turn around, seeing Theo.
"Oh my god." I hold him close to me and pull out, looking at him.
"What the hell is going on?"
"I don't know."
"Lydia needs help."
"I'll call Scott, you stay right here."
"Don't leave me please."
"I'll be back in a few seconds okay? Make sure she doesn't die."
"Okay."
Theo puts his phone up to his ear and walks out of the station.
"Hello?"
I hear nothing but Lydia's gurgling.
"Lydia? Hey. What happened?"
"Tracy." She whispers, pointing to the stairwell.
"Have you seen anyone else?"
"Malia. She went down there." She coughs.
I search her and see she has a deep wound in her side. I lift up her shirt and see the spike marks.
"Did her tail hit you?"
"Yes."
"Okay. You are going to have to help me out with this. I'm going to help you up, you can do this."
"Ok."
I grab her hand and hold her back a little and begin lifting her up. She mumbles under her breath, cursing.
"Almost there. You'll be okay."
"I'm okay. I'll be okay."
I lift her up and hold her back as she wobbled around. I hear running and see Stiles run in.
"Lydia? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Where's my mom?"
"Your mom was here?"
"Yeah. I saw her."
"Did you see Liam? I don't know where he is."
"No. Sorry."
"Liam?! Liam!" I scream, running up and down the halls. I hear nothing but metal hitting the floor. I turn my back and see three dreads behind me. Whispering something, I close my eyes.
"Kelli. Kelli. Kelli."
I open one eye and see they are still there.
"You're not real! You're not real!!"
I scream and turn right in front of them. They stop and cock their heads, beginning to walk faster.
"No! Help!" I fall to the ground and begin moving away on my hands and feet.
"Kelli! Hey! It's okay. It's me!" I hear a voice yell over my screaming.
I open my eyes and see Theo.
"Theo." I hold his face.
"Did you see them?"
"Who?"
"The dread doctors."
"There are 3."
I get up, wiping dust off my hands and knees.
"Have you guys found Malia or Liam?"
"We found Malia. The dreads killed Tracy right in front of her." Scott looks up.
"Tracy's dead?"
"Yeah."
I bite my lip and look to the ground for a moment.
"Dad?" Stiles walks to his dad.
"What the hell was that?"
"A chimera. The dreads."
"What are dreads?"
"Metal robot scientists pretty much."
"Oh hell."
"Yeah. Have you seen Liam Dunbar?"
"No. Should I send out a missing persons paper?"
"No. What if they took him?"
"I lost him. This is all my fault." I begin crying a little.
"Hey. It's not your fault." Scott walks over to me.
"He was too busy worried about me."
"You saved me, Kelli." Lydia smiles, holding her wound.
I smile, wiping my nose.
"I did."

I lay in bed, staring at the wall. I tap my fingers on my bed. There was nothing I could do. Liam could be gone forever. I look out my window, seeing the moon out. The moon surprisingly didn't even make me think differently. I'm glad for that. I get up and walk into the kitchen, seeing it was 1:20am. I had school in the morning. I might just call in sick.

I had realized that my mom wasn't home yet and look to my phone. A text from her again.

I have a meeting in Milan Friday. I can't come home until after then. I'm sorry honey. I love you. See you soon.

This was nothing different, she was never home.
I open my fridge and grab a bottle of milk, opening it. I take a drink and begin walking back to my room when I see someone in the doorway.

Liam.

"Liam, what the hell?! I was worried sick about you!"
"Don't you think I was worried about you too?"
"What?"
"I don't know what happened, Kelli. One second I was behind you, the next I was in a dark room."
"What happened?"
"I was in the room for a while obviously and I heard beeping. I saw someone on a table, being tested on. It was horrible." He shakes.
"I'm sorry." I hug him for a while, not wanting to let go.
"Don't be."
"You scared me. Never do that again."
"I was scared."
I laugh a little and smile. I was just very happy to see him again, alive.
