Liam sighs, caressing my hand lightly.

"How did you know?"
"I have known, Liam. I-"
"You don't have to explain, Kelli. I understand."

I bite down on my lip slightly and look into his eyes.

"Liam, I would too."

His ears perk up like a puppy's and I give him a small smile, feeling selfish.

Theo loves you, Kelli. And you go and tell this asshole that you would love him if Theo didn't love you?

I shake off all the feelings I had in my head and smile at Liam.

"You can sleep, Kelli. I'll be here by your side all night. I promise."

I place my other hand on the top of his and close my eyes, feeling his fingers lock with mine.

"Condition terminated." One of the doctors walk up to me, running their fingers down my left cheek. I feel a stride of pain across my side, seeing another figure. But, it wasn't a doctor. "Hello darling." The figures bright smile blinded my vision. "This is only going to hurt a lot." Chuckles filled my ears, and kept on getting louder and louder. Blood filled my ears, falling on to my shoulders. Streams of hot tears began falling to my cheeks. "Kelli!" "Kelli! Wake up!"

I sit up in my bed, Liam passed out next to me. His hand was still in mine, but was all sweaty and hot. I wipe sweat off of my face with my free hand and lay back in bed, staring at the ceiling.

What is wrong with me?

I hear Liam yawn at my side and a knock at the door.

"Kelli?" It was Theo.

Liam immediately lets go of my hand and wipes the sweat from it on his pant leg. I look at him for a quick second and look to the door.

"Come in."

Theo opens the door, smiling at me.

"Hi, Theo."
"I'm glad you're okay. I'm so sorry about last night."
"It's okay. I'm just glad you are here now."

He walks over to me and gives me a large hug, holding on to my back tightly.

"I love you." He whispers in my ear.

I look over to Liam, knowing he had heard what Theo just told me. He looks to his lap, keeping an eye on me.

Liam looks up to me again and waves, getting up and walking out of the room.

Theo lets go of the strong embrace and looks into my eyes for a slight second.

"Where'd Liam go?" Theo looks around, scratching the back of his head a bit.

"I don't know."
"The hospital said you can leave today."
"I didn't even get to say goodbye, Theo." I feel tears run down my face, slightly.
"I'm so sorry, babe. I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. Stop apologizing."
"I feel horrible for not staying with you."
"It's okay, you are here now. Make me feel better, please."

He looks down for a second and looks up, grabbing my face with his thumb.

"You're so strong and so brave. You should be proud of that."
"I don't feel strong and brave."
"You are. Think about it."

What is there to think about? You are worthless, Kelli.

"I'm worthless in this world."
"Kelli, don't you dare say that."
"I don't have anything left. My mom is-"

Theo pulls me forward, placing his soft chapped lips on mine. He holds my waist as my legs hang off of the bed. I bring my hands to his face as he supports me.

"You are not worthless. I am here for you. I love you, Kelli." He says, our foreheads touching together.

"I love you too, let's get out of here." I run my finger down his face.

I step out of bed and peel off my gown, grabbing my clothes. I pull on my jeans, watching Theo stare at me.

"Theo.." I look up at him, pulling my arms through the holes of my shirt.

"Sorry." His face gets red.

I laugh a little at him as we walk out of the room.

"Glad to see you better, Kelli." Melissa, Scott's mom, walks by.

"Thank you so much, Mrs. McCall."
"Please call me, Melissa."
"Alright. Melissa."

Theo's hand grazes my thigh, as his lips touch mine for a slight second. I try to enjoy it but it just doesn't comfort me. I pull out, his eyes opening.

"What's wrong?" He crosses his legs on the couch next to me.

"Theo, I love you but I can't seem to enjoy myself. My mom is gone. I can't live without her, it's too hard."
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken advantage."
"No. No, you didn't. I just need some space."
"I'll go." He grabs his backpack, slinging it over his shoulder.

Don't you feel so terrible?

"I'll call you later, maybe we can go out later." He smiles at me.

"Okay. I love you."
"I love you too."

The door closes behind him and I lay myself along the couch, hiding my face under the blanket.

Aw, you don't need Theo anymore? That's a surprise.
