Something is really wrong. I mean, it might just be the fact that my side is seriously hurting and I'm sweating like it's not even winter outside. It's definitely freezing, but I keep feeling hot.But that doesn't explain why I feel like I peed myself a few hours ago.
Not to mention these cuffs! They're getting more painful.
"Oh God!" I groan as my side starts to hurt again. This isn't labor though. I know it isn't. I still have more time. It's just the wound that's hurting.
"It's okay, it's okay, it's okay." I whisper over and over again. It's just the wound. That's it.
But, my back chooses this moment to act out causing me to screech and clutch the cuffs for support. I squeeze my eyes shut and continue to scream.
It's over in a few seconds and I finally open my eyes. I take a few deep breaths and sit up as best as I can. I lay my head against my hand and feel the sweat starting to form.I was to busy in calming down, that I didn't notice fast footsteps approaching. It's when the door opens to reveal Luke and Bell.
He throws her to the floor and yells, "Tell her to shut the fuck up!" And she looks up and meets my eyes.
"Luke! I think she's having the baby!" Bell rushes to my side and examines me. She turns back to him looking frantic.
"Yeah?" He smiles and starts to walk over to me. Thank God Bell decided to stop him from going any further. "Can you please take those cuffs off her?"
"Now, why should I do that?"
"Please. Please just let her be comfortable." She pleases as I watch them exchange words.
He takes the key out his pocket and as Bell reaches for it, he snatches it away. Instead, he walks over to me and slowly starts to unlock my cuffs. He takes his time with my wrists, and then my ankles, having his fingers brush against my skin and sending shivers everywhere.
I let out a small moan of satisfaction of finally being able to move. Bell rushes to me and helps me sit up.
Just as Luke was about to leave I called for him, "Wait!" Bell just looks at me in wide eyes but I kept my gaze on Luke. "I want you take the baby at the end. I want him placed in a great home. No jokes, no nothing. I want him as far away from here. Please."I've been thinking about this for a while. I don't want the baby to know this place. I want him to have the best. And there's no way I can possibly give him that. So, I have to do this. I have to give him away.
Even if it means I will never see him.
"No." And he turns to leave.
"Please! Please! I don't want him here! He can't know he came from here. Even if I never see him again!"
He turns fully around, "What do I get out of it?"
"Anything. Just make sure he's safe."
Without a word, he leaves, and it's just Bell and I, "Did your water break, Elsa?" she asks me.
"I think it did."
"You think it did?" She questions with a raised brow.
"I don't really know- ugh!" I shut my eyes when another wave of pain hits me.
"This is....a.....contraction, right?" I say between breaths trying to get the pain to go away.
"Yeah, that's what it is. How bad is the pain? You're still able to talk through them, so it's still minor." Bell gets up and heads for the door. "I'll be right back, I'm going to gather some things."
