Currently I'm laying down in a bed on the ambulance as the paramedics are right by my side watching in case of anything.

When I first got inside they had to give me something to calm my nerves. I'm still freaking out but whatever they have me on is helping me lay down still. The oxygen mask they put on me is definitely helping me breath too.

But when we speed over a bump I jump and my hands holds onto the railing of the bed. Very tightly.

Aladdin sits on the other side watching everything. I told them I'm not going alone in the ambulance without him. I trust him.

I look up at the ceiling and try to remain calm. In the corner of my eye, Aidan has been hooked to an incubator that's too far to reach.

I try to take deep breaths but it's not working anymore. I start to squirm a bit when I feel even more nervous.

"Sweetie, stay calm," one of the paramedics instructs as she notices my increased heart rate.

I'm trying. I try to stay calm but I can't. I feel like crying again. This-this is too much. I can't handle this.

My breathing is getting shorter and more difficult. For a second, I worry about breaking the rails when my hold tightens more.

Then the weirdest thing happens.

Aladdin extends his hand to me. Just like his wife did when she was with me in the examination room last year.

I took it either way.

When we reach another bump I squeeze his hand hard. And he does the same. His hands feel almost like the way my father used to hold it when I was little.

The driver makes a turn and I can feel it. We're at the hospital.
