Today was Trent's birthday and after an hour of chaos, outfit changes and curling my hair twice because it just didn't sit right, i finally decided on a white silky dress. Simple but with a sparkly silver tassel bag it was enough to boost my confidence .

the party was already packed when i arrived, music loud, lights low and way too many people i barely even knew. Curt and Trent spotted me first.
"lise!!" curtis grinned, pulling me into a hug.
"you look unreal sis"
"thanks curt, you look alright yourself"
Trent walked up behind him finishing his previous conversation, his grin wide "bout time you got here, you're late as per usual"
"i had a fashion crisis" i laughed handing him his gift bag. "happy birthday. arnold."
"thank you anna" he wrapped his arm briefly around my shoulder. "its good to have you back"
as the night went on, i noticed a few cameras pointed our way, fans filming as always. i was dancing with trent, laughing at one of curtis' stupid jokes, yet the timing couldn't have been worse someone got a video of me and T dancing, with his hand on my waist.
i thought nothing of it, until i got the message.

the text instantly made my stomach drop. i opened twitter and instantly knew what he meant.
"trent and annalise seem close with their dancing?? old flame reignited "
"vini who? trents got his girl back for his bday hahaha"

i went and found curtis by the bar
"hes seen the video hasnt he?" curt sighed.
"yeah, im worried. hes taken it the wrong way, i understand it looks bad but he needs to trust me when i say theres nothing between me and trent"
"dont stress tonight lise, just call him tomorrow and explain everything. its getting late." _____
later that night, trent found me sitting outside on the small balcony, wrapped in a blanket.
"you okay anna?"
"yeah, just tired dont worry"
"i can tell your upset, is it over the video?" he sighed
"yeah, ive upset vini. he doesnt understand."
he nodded, looking guilty. "if you want ill text him, let him know it was innocent"
"no its fine ill sort it"
"i can see you really like him." he smiled softly, yet he had a glimpse of sadness in his eyes.
"i do."
he nudged my arm. "hes lucky then."
i smiled, resting my head on his shoulder. just as friends.
but of course, we was being watched. ______
