annalises pov:

Sunlight streamed softly through the curtains, dusting the room with gold. I stirred awake, still tangled in the blankets, and felt a familiar warmth beside me.

vin.

his arm was draped over me, fingers laced with mine, and his steady breathing was the only sound in the quiet room. i smiled, careful not to disturb him, and snuggled closer, letting the winter chill outside fade away in the warmth of him.

"goodmorning," he murmured, eyes half-open, a soft smile tugging at his lips.

"merry christmas," i whispered, brushing my fingers over his cheek.

"merry christmas, love," he replied, finally opening his eyes fully and kissing my forehead.

we decided to start our Christmas tradition early — exchanging gifts in bed, warm and cozy.

i handed him a small stack of presents, smiling nervously. First was a handmade card, decorated with little footballs and doodles of us. inside, a message of love to him. next, some new football boots with my initials engraved and a set of football keychains of his favorite players. finally, a chain necklace with both our initials engraved, simple but meaningful.

vini's eyes softened immediately. "lise... you didn't have to," he whispered, sliding the necklace over his head and pressing a quick kiss to my hand.

"i wanted to," i said, grinning. "you're my favourite footballer and my favourite person."

vini handed me my presents in return. first, a delicate bracelet, engraved with small writing: "A&V." then, he grinned and handed me a Jellycat pumpkin, giving me a playful nudge. "it's christmas, but you're my abóbora anyway," he teased, making me laugh.

finally, he handed me a scrapbook, heavy with memories. flipping through it, I found photos of us from trips, silly selfies, and little mementos of our time together — each page a reminder of how far we'd come.

"i love it," i whispered, leaning into him. "i love everything."

"i love you," he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to my temple.

curtis, peeked in just as we were finishing. "morning, lovebirds! don't think i haven't noticed the way you two keep stealing moments."

"don't be dramatic, curtis," I laughed, showing him the scrapbook.

"ah, so that's what you guys have been giggling about. merry christmas guys" curtis said with a grin.

we stayed in bed a little longer, savoring the warmth and the magic of the morning, sharing soft kisses and whispered promises. every moment felt like a promise of something lasting, something ours.

by the time we got up, the house smelled like cinnamon and toast. my parents were bustling around the kitchen, and curtis was already helping.vini joined them without hesitation, slicing bread and stirring sauces like he belonged there.

the rest of the morning passed in laughter, playful teasing, and small, intimate moments — stolen glances, brushing hands, and soft kisses.

as we all settled into the living room, snow falling softly outside, i rested my head on Vini's shoulder, feeling the weight of his hand on mine.

"christmas with you," i whispered, "is perfection."

"I promise, my love... this is only the beginning."
