annalises pov:

It was rare, a whole day with no training. the club had given the players a brief break before the winter fixtures kicked back in, and vini and i had decided to spend it together. no social media, no rules, just us.

i walked into his apartment to find him in his oversized hoodie, hair messy, making an exaggeratedly grumpy face at the pile of gingerbread house kits on the table.

"i didn't sign up for architecture, lise," he groaned, picking up a candy cane like it was a sword.

"oh, come on, it'll be fun! plus... hot chocolate," i said, waving the steaming mugs at him.

"hot chocolate is persuasion," he admitted, eyes lighting up. "fine, but if my house collapses, i'm blaming you."

we set to work. i squirted frosting with precision, while vin... well, vini was creative in his own chaotic way.

"look at this," he said, proudly holding up a crooked candy cane as a roof support. "totally structurally sound."

"vinicius... that's going to collapse the second you add weight," i laughed

he laughed, frosting smudged across his cheek. "you're worse than my teammates, you know that?"

"better, i don't hog the ball," i teased back, wiping icing off my fingers and feeding him a  marshmallow.

by the time the gingerbread houses were done — leaning, lopsided, we were covered in sugar, laughing until our cheeks hurt.

"i think yours is... charming," i said, giving his crooked masterpiece a gentle nudge.

"charming? it's perfect," he insisted, grabbing my hand and pulling me into a hug, frosting on both of us. "just like you."

later, we curled up on the couch, mugs in hand, fingers brushing, steam from the chocolate fogging the windows.

"this is perfect," i said softly, leaning against him.

"you mean... me or the hot chocolate?" he teased, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"both, idiot," i said, laughing and poking him in the ribs.

"fine..." he said, pulling me closer.

i dragged him to the TV. "you've got to see my favourite Christmas film," i declared.

"is it... one of those romcoms?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"no," i said, snuggling into his chest. "its nativity! you have to promise not to laugh... too much."

he grinned. "i promise... sort of."

the next hour was filled with giggles, whispered commentary, and me pointing out my favourite bits while vin snorted into my hair.

"lise... i don't understand why every child in this movie is smarter than me," he muttered, laughing.

"it's okay... you're smarter in other ways," i whispered, pressing a kiss to his jaw.

he caught my lips with his, slow and warm, a soft press that made me melt. "i love this... us," he murmured.

"i love this... us too," i breathed, leaning into him.

we cuddled through the movie, shared a few more kisses, sipped hot chocolate, and made plans for winter walks and cookie baking. The world outside was chilly and crisp, but inside, we had our own little warm bubble.

vinis pov:

she was radiant, tiny marshmallows stuck in her hair, nose pink from laughing, cheeks glowing from sugar and warmth. I couldn't believe this was my life — spending a wintery day with the girl I loved, no pretense, no hiding.

"lise," i murmured, brushing frosting from her cheek, "i'll never let anyone take this from us."

the day passed in a blur of laughter, kisses, gingerbread crumbs, and hot chocolate, and i realized... love didn't need labels yet. It just needed us, together, in every little messy, perfect moment.

as the evening came, snow beginning to lightly dust the streets outside, we stayed on the couch. I rested my head on his shoulder, fingers intertwined, and whispered, "vini... i want to be official. fully."

he kissed the top of my head, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "you are, in my heart... and soon, the world will see too."

And for the first time, the season didn't just feel like winter — it felt like us, love wrapped around every warm, sweet, glittering moment.
