the morning after felt surreal. waking up in vini's arms, i felt completely his. but the reality of the club rules lingered — no public displays, no open relationship. it was between us, yes, but invisible to the outside world.

i wanted more than whispers and secret texts. i wanted to hold his hand on the street, to tell anyone who asked, he's mine.

vinis pov:

that day at training was torture. every glance from annalise over my shoulder made my heart jump, and every passing staff member felt like a reminder that we had to be careful. but at lunch, i finally let myself breathe.

"lise," i said quietly as we sat in the quiet corner of the cafeteria, "i know it's hard — rules, the club, all of it — but... i want you to know, i don't regret a second of this. us."

"me neither," she whispered, taking my hand under the table. "but... it's scary. what if someone finds out? what if..."

"we'll handle it. together," i interrupted. "we've waited this long to be us, we can wait a little longer to be officially us. and i promise — i will fight for you, always."

her eyes glistened, and i could feel her squeeze my hand back.

we spent the evening curled up, talking about everything and nothing. i traced circles on her arm, feeling the steady warmth, the heartbeat that belonged to me.

"i just want... us," she said finally, voice soft, almost trembling.

"you have me," i said, brushing a kiss along her temple. "all of me. and i promise — nothing, and no one, will change that."

"i like that promise," she whispered, pressing a kiss to my chest, where my heart was thundering like it might burst.

and in that moment, i realized: it wasn't about the world knowing. it was about us knowing, and keeping that promise, no matter what.

i felt the safety of his arms, the certainty of his love,

"i don't care about the rules, vini. i just want us. promise me we'll make it through."

"i promise," he murmured back, fingers lacing with mine. "always."

and for the first time in forever, the rules didn't feel like a punishment. they felt like a challenge we could overcome — together.
