*Raven's P.O.V*
Elliot ran out of the shop, grabbed a hose and then entered back in.
He started spraying at the fire, as well as everything around it. Every single thing, including me, was wet.
So damn hot...I couldn't help but admire him as he took the fire out in less than a minute. Maybe he should think about becoming a firefighter, 'cause he looked so sexy! Also, that hose is so freaking lucky!
...Ugh, I can't believe I'm jealous of a hose.
The woman strapped to a chair, coughed.
I spun around and sprinted over to her, undoing the binds while Elliot went to put the hose back.
"Are you alright?" I asked, alarmed.
"Well, I'm alive and in one piece, so I would say that I'm fine," she sighed. A little boy was hiding behind her chair, trembling.
"Is that your son?"
"No," Isabelle replied, "he's my nephew Todd. I'm Isabelle Hattie, the owner of this shop."
"Your décor is, eh, quite interesting," Elliot said, upon re-entering the shop. His eyes had landed on the collection of headless dolls.
Isabelle chuckled.
"I tend to delve into a lot of magical stuff, so I don't discriminate. In case you didn't get that, I'm proficient in both dark and light magic," Isabelle explained. "Although, after my experience with that ugly ass demon, I realize I need to involve myself more in life saving spells, like teleportation."
"What did he want?" I inquired.
"He wanted to fast forward to New Years and sadly, he succeeded," Isabelle replied, crestfallen.
"So just make the time go backwards!" Elliot said, tapping his fingers back and forth on an empty mahogany table.
"I'm afraid I can't do that," she replied, pursing her lips.
"Great," I groaned. "That stupid demon's gonna use the ring to do the ritual, revive the three ancients and open a gate which allows every demon to seep out, including Satan himself."
Isabelle was quiet for a moment before she spoke.
"There's a way to stop him."
"And how's that?" Elliot asked.
"I know for certain the three ancient beings are going to do the ritual on the very top of Scarlet Valley's Volcano, so as to ensure no disruptions," Isabelle said. "If the portal does form, there's a way that it can be closed."
"How?" Elliot whispered, continuing his repetitive tapping motions on the desk.
"Young man, stop tapping your fingers back and forth on my table and I will provide you with an answer."
"Sorry," Elliot apologized, straightening up and bringing his arms inward.
"Much better," she scolded. "As I was saying, if someone were to throw themselves into the portal, it would close immediately. And that someone has to be a human."
Both Elliot and I were silent for about half a minute.
Next, I put my hand on my chin, in a thoughtful pose while Elliot balled up his fists and his whole body started shaking uncontrollably.
"So you're asking one of us to make a sacrifice?!" He thundered.
"I'm not asking any one of you to sacrifice yourselves. I'm simply telling you a possible solution. For all we know, you could grab a 98 year old grandpa off the street and throw him into the portal," Isabelle snorted. "Now, if you don't mind, I have a shop to clean up and a nephew to un-scar."
