A/N: I was debating between naming this chapter "You Need to Let Go" or "Confrontation." Eventually, I settled on "Confrontation." But if you feel like the other title suits it better, do let me know 😜

*Raven's P.O.V*

Darkness.

That's all I saw for a few seconds before my eyes fluttered open.

Ugh, where the hell am I?

Oh right...hell!

Also, my goddamn head is killing me!

I rubbed my forehead as I got up, dusting myself off. Red dirt flew off of my beautifully toned body.

Glancing around, I realized just how different earth was from hell. Whereas earth was vibrant and colorful, hell was composed of only one color-red. In fact, the entire ground was blood red while the creepy leafless trees were a lighter shade of red.

"How the heck do I get out of here...?" I mumbled to myself.

I looked up, hoping to see the vortex.

But it wasn't there. Rather, the entire sky was dark red with not even a single star in sight. It was the type of sky every sinful soul would be forced to look upon after entering this unholy abode. Dreary, plain and unappealing. So unlike the sky us living mortals are used to. Unless you live in a smog-infested area, then, well, not only would your air quality suck, but your sky as well.

Sweat pooled on my forehead as I wiped it off.

Damn, it's so freaking hot down here!

Hmm, I guess I should start walking. It's definitely better than staying put in this spot and risking the possibility of a demon coming across me, ready to attack. Or they might just taunt me mostly and simply think about hurting my "sexier than the whole entire demon population of hell" figure.

Of course I'd probably slay them before they even laid a finger on my flawless, athletic build. However, that well-deserved event could end up attracting more demons. Taking on one demon is no problem but an army of them could prove to be quite a dilemma even for a badass like me.

I need to play my cards right. If I succeed, I can get the hell out of this place, and as a bonus, take down a few demons along the way.

As I continued my trek along the shaky unpredictable path, I came across a river.

"Woah, even their water's red...or is that blood..."

Horrified, I inched away from the river and kept walking in a different direction.

Please God, if you can hear me, help get me out of hell, I silently pleaded, hoping my prayer would somehow get transmitted from hell all the way up to heaven.

OOF!

I stumbled forward a bit before regaining my balance like the perfectionism obsessed diva that I am.

I wonder what I tripped over...

I glanced down and saw a feline-like eye opening back and forth, blinking rapidly.

"Ew!" I shrieked.

A literal FUCKING eye is sticking out of the motherfucking ground! ARGH!

I bolted out of there and ran like an Olympian high on steroids/drug enhancers/whatever you wanna call them for what felt like minutes, but was really only a few seconds.

My run was cut short as I arrived at a large gray castle covered in wilted vines and dead roses, surrounded by a moat filled with lava. A stone bridge, the same color as the castle, led up to the entrance.
