بخت کے تخت سے یک لخت اُتارا ہوا شخص
تم نے دیکھا ہے کبھی جیت کے ہارا ہوا شخص

There was no still no clue about Zainab. It had been a whole day. Twenty four hours without any contact from her. At this moment, everyone was certain that Zainab had been taken against her will. Each second that passed, each hour that had gone by had intensified Altamash's worry. He didn't know whether she was okay or not. What if she was hurt? What if whoever that took her hurt her? She's already been through so much.
These thoughts didn't left Altamash's mind for even a second. He didn't sleep the entire night. Not a wink. He had been plagued by the haunting thoughts of Zainab lying in her blood, or hurt, or most dangerous...dead.
So he decided to come to his study and sat by the window. He witnessed the first ray of sunshine that split the sky and he prayed when the Adhan echoed in the nearby masjid to bring Zainab back to him.
He prayed with all his heart for her to be safe and sound. For if something were to happen to her, he wouldn't ever forgive himself. He belonged to Zainab. His heart, his soul, his everything.
His heart has belonged to Zainab. And will always belong to her.
There will never be a moment where his heart would stop beating for her for it already belonged to her.
There was no Altamash without his Zainab.
There cannot be and there wouldn't be.

Subhan slowly pushed the door open. His eyes instantly surveyed the room and stopped at his best friend sitting by the window. His head was thrown back on the chair and he looked asleep. Slowly closing the door behind him, Subhan tiptoed toward him. Two steaming cups of coffee were in his hand. One for himself and one for Altamash. Standing in front of him, he bent down and lightly shook him.
"Hey, wake up."
Altamash woke up with a start. His mind alert and senses sharp.
"I brought coffee. You need one."
Altamash rubbed his eyes. He must have dozed off. Taking the mug from his hand, he drank a few sips before keeping the mug on the window sill.
"Is there any updates?"
Subhan nodded his head.
"Yes. Imad called. He and Khirad will be arriving shortly."
Some sort of relief came to Altamash. If they both were coming, it was certain they had found something. Pushing up from the chair, he grunted as his back ached due to sitting at an awkward position. Subhan eyed his best friend and clapped him on the shoulder
"Go take a bath. Everything will be fine."
Altamash nodded but turned his head as the door opened. Safa peaked her head inside before saying softly
"Breakfast will be done in a few minutes."
"We'll be there."
