Both my mind and my body were exhausted from today's event. I slouched down on my messy bed and took in a deep sigh. Prince is now number one on my list of people I hate. Just saying his 'nickname' makes me shiver from his sly charm of charming me. I rolled around the bed trying to block all those events but I couldn't my mind off whenever I remembered his face. Just what did he mean by being a shadow under the real Prince?

I took out my tablet and searched up the term Hershey Prince. All if gave me were pictures of the Hershey factory and chocolates that makes me crave for their sweet snacks. But then, I noticed a small article that wasn't related to Hershey.

Rice Family? Who are they? I tapped the link to the article and saw an article of a handsome guy. However this guy wasn't the same 'Prince' I met. His auburn hair was brushed away from his forehead. He had dark brown eyes instead of green. I caught the name of this guy and it turns out to be Damien Rice. I skimmed through the article saying he's nicknamed Hershey Prince and recently announced his engagement to Juliet.

That girl mentioned he was searching for another 'Juliet' too. What could this mean..? I continued reading the article to find another photo of him and his family. His parents were posed behind him and another boy was next to him. He looked younger but he has a handsome face as well. He had cherry brown hair but it was hiding part of his face. So there are two brothers but none of them look like him. I gave up my little snooping and headed turned on my laptop. I plugged in my tablet and opened my comic.

Back to my double life as a mangaka.

I finalized a few more outlines and added screentones before I double check the next page. As I posted the last pages of my series, I laid down in relief. This is the final part of the series I would never look back. It had a bittersweet ending but not every story can lead to a happy ending. I reread my last chapter bringing me back to my crush.

Three years ago...

I forgotten how time flies by but staying in the library made me feel safe from the outside world. If I step outside, I'd be surrounded by a bunch of idiots having cat fights over their cheating boyfriend or rough fights showing off their strength from steriods. I slowly shut my eyes to put me back in dreamworld, but then I felt a shove against my arm.

"Hey you can't keep sleeping in the library." a voice whispered, "This is a library, not your home, Pia." (Pronounced Pee-ah)

I jumped off my chair and looked up. His jet black hair was spiked up and his clothes were slightly baggy. It was my friend, Bryan, smirking at my clumsiness. I stood up fixing my clothes and pouted at him.

"Can't I just have a few moments to enjoy my alone time here?" I snapped, "Have you finished your shift?"

"Yup. Been beside you this whole time enjoying the show 'Sleepy Time With Pia.'" He teased.

"Gah!! You're so mean, Bryan!!!" I punched him in his shoulder, "What's wrong with you?"

"Haha I don't know. I'm weird like that" He grinned, "Don't forget. Your mom asked us to stop by the grocery store to buy some food."

"I know I know." I sighed annoyed being reminded by him, "Thanks for getting me off the hook back then. If she found out I neglected my schoolwork, she'll take away my sketchbooks and laptop."

"It's no problem," he said as he pulled me out the library, "What'll happen if I'm not around to get you out of sticky situations like that?"

"And this is why we're best friends." I smiled and wrapped my arm around his.

We've been good friends throughout middle school. We were rumored to be in a relationship but we always deny that to be true. It didn't matter to me because I felt safe around him. He always get me out of sticky situations and I always help him keep his self esteem up. Sure we're quirky kids; but to us, we're normal.
