Fourth Kiss

Both the Prince and I stared at each other with nothing to say but give each other awkward looks. I tried to clear my throat to speak out but just seeing his face digustingly amuse me. It was then we heard Penny breaking the silence.

"Hey Rick." she giggled, "I didn't know you were around town. Did you stop by to support your brother's fundraiser?"

"Haha sort of." he smiled, "How's the hotel running?"

"The usual." Penny scoffed, "Dad always pushes to increase the reputation of the hotel so it'll be easier for me to take over when he retires."

"You're lucky having an amazing father." he gave that smirk. I hid my disgusting face as they continued catching up from their last meeting.

"So who's your partner this time?" he changed the subject. I was hoping he didn't remember my name from last night. Please don't remember. Please don't remember. Please don't remember.

 "Ah this is my good friend, Hayate." Penny wrapped her arm around my arm, "I thought just for today I invite a girl with me, ya'know?"

"Clever girl." he chuckled, "I guess your father had an interest of a guy to be your husband."

"Pfft as if!!" she pouted, "Only mother and I will approve the right guy. Hey would you mind if you watch my adorable friend?" Wait... you're leaving me.... with HIM?! "I still need to find your brother, Nathan, since he's the one who invited me." NO!! Please don't leave me with him!! PENNY!!!!

"Sure I don't mind babysitting this little rascal." he responded with his angelic smile. You little....

"Great!! I'll be right back." she winks at me hinting I'll get along with him. No way in hell am I going to be friendly towards him.

I sighed in regret and glared at him. He looked back me with that senile smirk.

"Now when we met... I thought for sure your name is Sophia." he pondered.

"It's because I moved to a new school," I looked away, "And I didn't want anyone knowing my real name."

"Because of your crush." he looked straight.

"SHUT UP!!" I stepped on his foot, "It was not because of him. It was because I moved to a new school and I needed a new start."

"So you could forget about him." he interrupted not feeling my stepping. I hesitated because partially he was right. I looked down and tried to change the subject.

"So you're in town?" I asked in curiosity.

"Yeah for the time being." he shrugged, "But it's not like my family care what I do to my life. It has been six years since...." He paused for a moment.

"Since... what?" I looked at him. Then the lights went off. The crowd was surprised and looked around who turned it off. I tried to look back at Rick but he vanished and I was left alone.

Suddenly a spotlight was lit up in the center of the room and a young man entered the spotlight. He was wearing a slick teal suit and his hair was brushed back behind his ear. I'm guessing this was the younger brother. He pulled out a microphone and tapped on it.

"Thank you everyone for joining our event." he said with his deep voice, "My name is Nathan Rice, the youngest of the Rice family. We appreciate the donations and supporting of this event from the bottom of our hearts." Yeah right.... "Now without further ado. We know most of you are anxious for our main event. May I represent our main star, and my brother, Damien Rice." He pointed the other direction for the spotlight to relocate to another area and it was a kitchen set. Int the center was another young man. It was Damien Rice with his chef uniform on. He looks focused at his preparation.
