The morning air within Yaoyorozu's estate carried the faint scent of dew and perfectly cut grass, the kind that glistened faintly beneath the early sunlight. The sky was pale blue, with drifting clouds that offered brief shade over the sprawling private training field. Birds chirped from the distance, their melodies contrasting the exhausted groans that echoed through the yard.
Momo's estate wasn't just large it was monumental. The training field alone could rival a small stadium, complete with multiple running tracks, open grassy expanses, and a marble-tiled courtyard that sparkled under the sun. Even the mansion's white walls seemed to gleam mockingly at the struggling group of girls who were now sprawled across the grass, their bodies trembling from exhaustion. Tooru was downright unconscious
Mina was the first to break. She collapsed face-first onto the ground, her pink hair sticking to her forehead, sweat dripping down her chin. Her voice came out between ragged breaths.
Mina:Please... please just kill me already.
The rest weren't doing much better. Jirou had her earbuds dangling uselessly around her neck, gasping as if she'd just been through a battlefield. Her hair clung to her face, her normally sharp violet eyes glazed over with fatigue.
Jirou:Whose... whose idea was this again?
she muttered between gasps.
Ochaco:this... this isn't training. This is... torture. She whined her outfit covered in sweat
Mina rolled onto her back, panting heavily, staring up at the endless sky.
Mina:Tell my family... I died doing cardio...
The faint crunch of boots against the grass drew their attention, though it felt more like dread than comfort. Izuku approached from the far end of the field, towel slung around his neck, his green hair shone. He wasn't even winded. His gray-green eyes carried an apologetic warmth that didn't quite ease the growing resentment around him.
Izuku:I said I was sorry, guys
he said, his tone gentle, almost too calm for someone responsible for their collective suffering.
Izuku:I didn't think it'd be this hard. The guys did a hundred reps each sure some of them ended up going to the hospital but still so I thought half would be manageable.
Mina sat up, her eyes wide and betrayed.
Mina:Half? Izuku, half of a hundred is still fifty! We're dying! Do you not see us literally melting!?
Tsuyu croaked softly nearby, her tongue lolling out slightly as she used it to wipe sweat from her forehead. Even her normally calm demeanor had cracked.
Tsuyu:Kero... I think my muscles are about to give out... on my tongue too.
Momo was kneeling beside her, both hands on her knees, panting heavily as her perfectly tied ponytail began to fray. Her usual poise was gone-her once confident eyes now glassy with fatigue.
Momo:I... I can't feel my legs
she murmured faintly.
Momo:Or my arms. Or my... everything
Tooru said
Tooru:amaterasu is that you
She looked delirious as her hand stretched out to the shy
Jirou let out a wheezing laugh, then immediately regretted it.
Jirou:You had to build a private training ground, didn't you? And now it's become our graveyard.
Izuku scratched the back of his neck, clearly uneasy but trying not to laugh.
Izuku:I really thought it'd be fine... You girls wanted to be in top form before the festival.
