It was nice to be home, in our bed again. We got back from Crete a few days ago. The whole week was nice, but I'm just so happy to be back. Our plants are dead and the milk is spoiled, but hey, I'm home. I can finally watch football again, since Greece didn't have my channels.

But today, It was my birthday. It wasn't anything special. It was the first birthday spent home in years. Other then the fact I'm a married man now, it wasn't too different from any other. I'm just glad to be home. My parents have been the only ones to call me this morning, surprisingly . The boys have always made a huge deal about birthdays, but I haven't even got a text yet.

"Hey," Sam nudges me, "wanna go out?" I pull her into my grip a little more, as I concentrate on the football game on the tv in the corner of our bedroom.

"Hmm" I answer into her soft shoulder.

"Was that a yes or a no?" She giggles down at me. I finally look away from the tv and smile.

"Yeah. Yeah, let's go out. Let's get out of the house." We haven't left the house in days...

"Ok, good, cause if you'd said no I would've had to force you and I wouldn't want to do that to the birthday boy." It was weird. It didn't feel like my birthday at all. I'm twenty seven! A part of me is still trying to grasp onto my youth.

I sigh, kissing her shoulder before rolling over and crawling out of bed. Sam hums from behind me and I shake my naked butt to tease her. "Niall!" She laughs. I chuckle too and proceed to find new clothes as she climbs out of bed to get dressed. Being married is fun.

"So, where are we going?" I ask as Sam gets into the taxi.

"It's a surprise" she smirks, slipping the address to the driver.

"How cliche," I roll my eyes.

"Hey! Surprises are nice. You like surprises." She nudges me as we drive away.

"I guess so" I laugh with a smirk. We drive for a good ten minutes before we pull up to a large hotel. I look at Sam confused when the taxi parks out front. "What're we doing here?"

"Shh" she pushes her finger to my lips and lets out a giggle. "Come on. Let's go." She gets out and pulls me behind her as I climb out the other side. We walk through reception and down a hallway, following the signs to the ballroom. That's when I start to get ideas.

"Samantha..." I shake my head. "I told you I didn't--"

"Shh, you don't know anything. I felt weird blind folding you. That's just too kinky." she says glancing at me. I laugh at her as we arrive at the two large doors that lead to the ballroom. "Ok, now cover your eyes please," she says and I listen. I hear the door open and it's completely silent, with the slight smell of rum in the air.

"Surprise!" Everyone in the room yells as my eyes open. So many people are here. Everyone I know plus more. Suddenly the room comes alive. The lights go down and the music turns up. It's a giant party with loud music, crazy lights, and of course, alcohol. I'm supposed to get absolutely black out drunk tonight. Here I am again, trying to grasp on to my youth again.

"Holy shit" I mutter as Louis and the rest of them walk up with a tray of shots. And I thought these boys forgot.

"Happy birthday lad!" He yells over the music. "One for everyone. You too Sam." I look down at her, expecting her to decline. She shrugs her shoulders and grabs one.

"Thank you everyone for being here, now LETS PARTY!" I yell, throwing back two shots and cringing at the tequila.
