Through The Dark

Back and Forth

It's quiet for a full minute. I can feel Madi and Harry exchanging their glances. They both watch Niall, waiting for a reaction. "Really...?" He looks up at me as his face soften. A small smile, barely visible, appears on his face. I nod, letting a smile come to my face as well. This was the reaction I wanted from him. He pushes me against the bed and kisses me.

"Alright..." Harry mumbles and turns around.

"Shut it," He mumbles and pulls me up. "We're really having a baby?" He smiles bigger.

"Defiantly." I say and he puts his hands over mine, on my belly.

"I'm sorry about what I said. I'll love him always." He leans down, planting a kiss on my flat stomach.

"We'll let you have this moment here.... We'll be downstairs.. Let's go Harry." Madi stands up and walks out with Harry on her Arm. Niall pulls me up and wraps me in a hug. Emotions flooded my body, all happy and positive.

"I'm so excited!" He cups his hands around my face, happy tears welled in the corner of his eyes. "I love you so much..." He picks me up, wrapping his strong arms around my waist. "We're having a baby!" He spins me around and I laugh, as the happy tears stream down both of our faces. "I love you." He sets me down on my feet again, before kissing me slowly and softly. I pull away and he wipes my eyes with his thumb. "Let's not keep them waiting..." He walks me down the stairs, following close behind.

"You took that very well Niall." Harry chuckles.

"Didn't hyperventilate. Like someone I know." Madi nudges him and I laugh.

"Excuse me. The doctor said we were having twins! I was not prepared for that!" He says, raising his voice a little.

"You had to sit on the floor and breath into a paper bag, Harold. A little bit of an overreaction, coming from the one that didn't actually have to carry two babies to term." She rolls her eyes. "Speaking of them, we have to go pick them up from your mom's house. She expected us two hours ago."

"Wait wait, I'm not done with this. Niall, your wife is having twins. Your reaction?" Harry sits forward.

"Jesus, I just found out she's having one... I'm not ready for two. Let's hope not." He smiles and looks down at me.

"Exactly." Harry mumbles. I smile over at Madi as she stands up. I think I'd be okay with two, though I'm thankful for the one I have now. I don't know how she does it. She balances a career with three kids, all under the age of five. Hell, I don't know how she balances her career with anything.

"Let's go pick up the kids and celebrate." Niall stands up. "Sound good, Sam?" I nod and stand up. "You two down with it?" He looks at Madi, then Harry. "We can tell the others!" He spins around. "I'm going up to change!" He runs up the stairs, skipping every other step. "I'm so excited!" I hear him scream from our room.

"I'll call the Louis and Liam." Harry walks out of the room, pulling his phone out of his pocket.

"I told you he wouldn't hate you." Madi stands up and hugs me. "We will go get the kids and meet you at The Balcony, okay?"

"Sounds lovely. Should I be nervous, telling the others?" I wipe the sweat off my hands, onto my pants.

"No no. They'll be totally supportive. Louis has Leo so he'll be happy just because of that. Liam is probably bringing his girlfriend too, along with Taylor. I just don't want to overwhelm you. Niall can probably break the news if you don't feel comfortable." I smile nervously as she talks.
