MC Diaries : A Garmau Story

IX. The Date

A/N - Okay, let's just pretend that somewhere in between these chapters that Garroth moved out of the guard tower and him and Aphmau had Kawaii~Chan 'Kawaii~Chan-ify' Aphmau (now Garroth and Aphmau's House)'s house so it now looked like a normal house, with accents of both their favorite colors. Like that^^ (and to answer your question, yes, I did indeed spend 2-4 hrs just building a house for this story, and I also did do interior.) Okay, onto the chapter!
P.S. - you know what? Screw these word limits, I'ma write as much as I want.
BUT IT'S STILL FUÇKIN' SHORT.

Laurance's PoV

6:20. Ten minutes till the date. Laurance paced around the room in his casual attire, running his hand through his hair as he always did when he was nervous. He paced about, trying to fix his untamable hair. At the moment, Azura decided to stay at Phoenix Drop (because she made up an excuse to stay...? IDK IM JUST WINGING THIS, ITS NOT MY FAULT... BLAME THE WRITERS' BLOCK...). At Aphmau's guest room in her... and Garroth's home [WHY?], and I went to pick her up.
6:25.
I walked over to Aphmau's [and Garroth -_-]'s home.
6:27.
I gave the door a knock and Aphmau answered. Awkward. I explained the situation to her and she was happy that I had moved on. She called Azura, and I was stunned. I'd never seen her out of uniform and unarmed, but that means she must've taken this seriously. [YES!-- NO! WHAT ABOUT LAURLYN, PAST ME]

I walked with her to the café, and I opened the door like the gentleman I am.

6:29. Right on time!

(I'm just gonna skip to the talky part of the date)

Azura's PoV

It feels a bit weird out of uniform, but it feels good, I should get out more. We talked for a bit, and got to know each other, and-

"Azura?" Laurance interrupted my thoughts.

"Hmm?"

"Tell me your opinion, but I think just a stroll along the docks would be better than this,"

"Actually.. Yeah, you wanna go now?"

"C'mon!"

-Time Skip-
(First Kiss? Hehe...)

Laurance's PoV

"So," Azura tried to start a conversation. "How long have you been Lady Aphmau's guard?"
I heaved a sigh, gave her a warning that it would be a long story, and I started. She seemed hooked on every word, on the edge of her seat as I told the story of how I risked my life for Aphmau in the Nether, how Ungrth saved me, and how I became blind. I told her of when I found out Cadenza had moved to Phoenix Drop, and that Aphmau had convince me that Cadenza dyed my hair blue instead of brown. She listened to my tale, and after I finished, she was speechless.

"So you and Aphmau have a bit of a history, huh?" She asked, breaking the silence.

"Huh?" I asked, I was thinking, and she kind of interrupted me.

"Nothing," she chuckled.

"So, why did you say yes to my date invitation?"

"Oh, I just, uh, needed to move on, like you."

"Oh, yeah, um, Garroth told me that you used to, uh, yeah..."

"Heh, "

"You wanna just sit down here?"

"Kay."

"You know what? I think that we might work."

"You think?"

"Yeah..." And we just sat there in silence, as the suspense increased. I didn't think I could hold it back. That's it, I can't do this anymore. I'm crazy, here we go. I turned to her and pressed my lips onto hers. Her eyes widened as mine closed. I pulled away.

"Y-you just-" she was still in shock.

"Yeah, I told myself I was crazy, but straight forward is my style," I winked at her. WAIT. Was she blushing? Aw, she's cute... Just like Aph- nope. Nope. Not thinking about Aphmau. I've kissed Azura, and that's that. No more flirting with Aphmau.

"So does that mean...?"

"Yeah... I'd like that..."

"So do we have to do an elaborate announcement like Lady Aphmau and Garroth or..."

"Not if you want to, I mean, if I were you, I'd want to tell everyone about us."

"So can we keep this a secret for a little while?"

"Can I at least tell Garroth and Aphmau?"

"Why not? Garroth'll be happy that I moved on, and Aphmau'll be happy that you moved on."

And we just sat there in silence, and at one point, Azura decided to put her head on my shoulder, and I smiled. We were like that for the rest of the night, until we decided to head back.

(Off to Tartarus with word limits)

Garroth's PoV

I was playing with Malachi and Levin as someone opened the door. I peeked down the stairs. I heard everything. I do hope Laurance and Azura's date works out. After they left I walked downstairs where Lad- *ahem* Aphmau was and pecked her on the cheek. (Guys, just pretend that Garroth always has his helmet off when he's at home) She giggled and we walked up to our bedroom, where we sat on the bed and talked. We always did this before going to bed, and it had kind of become part of our daily routine. And eventually this came up :
"Garroth, why exactly did you propose to me?" Aphmau asked.

For me, the answer was easy, and I replied:
"Well, you're a lord, a mother of two, (seven if u count the doggies) an adventurer, a caretaker, and a fighter, so who's to say you don't need the help?"

She thought for a moment, and said, "Why a proposal? Why not start a romantic relationship and propose when the time is right?"

"I couldn't help myself, (THAT GOES FOR BOTH ME AND YOU, GARROTH)"

"Well, then it's a good thing I accepted,"

"Yeah, yeah it was..." she put her head on my shoulder, and my head on hers. Life was good.

A/N - I'm gonna be the nice author that doesn't do cliffhangers. (Cough cough unlike feelzyfeelz , cough cough) Anyways, Bai!
