XII. Relax

A/N - Meow. I'm too lazy to edit everything, so I'm leaving this terrible story as terrible as it is and just changing the chapter names.

Garroth's PoV

One day.... Even though I'd reassured Aphmau, I still wasn't sure myself. Ok, breathe. It's fine. Everything's gonna be perfect. I think... Zane's no more.. Right? He's locked up in a high security prison somewhere, with the jury of nine guarding him. It's fine. It was early morning and I had just woken up, with my darling Aphmau's head on my chest. I gently shook her awake.
"Hm?" Her eyes slowly opened, closed, then opened again.
"C'mon, wake up princess," I laughed gently.

"Princess?" She asked.

"You're my princess," I replied, pulling her into a kiss.

"Shut up, you!"

"What if I don't wanna shut up?"

"That's an order!" We burst into a fit of laughter, and stayed like that for a minute or two.

(After Aphmau's Daily Rounds)

Aphmau's PoV

Alright, so I checked everyone, and now to start putting up decorations for tomorrow... Was it already tomorrow? *sigh* hm, it seems like yesterday I was (mostly) carefree, not a worry in my head (kind of). Alright, time to go meet with Garroth and put up the decorations for tomorrow...

"Lady Aphmau, you're not going to lift a finger." A voice said behind me. Oh, hello, Logan..

"I most definitely will lift a finger, Logan." I replied.

"No, no, no, no, no. This is your wedding, and you're going to relax. You've already done so much for Phoenix Drop, and this is the least we can do to repay you."

"He's right," Donna came up behind him.

"But-" I tried to protest. I wanted to do everything I could to help, that's my job.

"Nope! If you're gonna help, we'll force you to have a day to relax. I'm positive." Where did Molly come from?

"I just-" I tried, but was shushed by a finger.

"Sweetie, relax," Sweetie? Oh... Laurance.... Hey.... "We're gonna do this, and you're gonna take a day off. Got it?"

"I- *sigh* got it.." Why? I wanna help as much as I can, but they're right, I should take a day to myself. Just me, and-

"C'mon, why don't we have a date night?"

"Huh?"

"Hey, can't you see your own fiancé? I'm right behind you," I turned around.

"Hi Gar-" I barely had time to say anything when he spun me around, and we started giggling.

"Date night sounds good," I said once we stopped laughing.

"Let's go, princess,"

"Shut up!" I started laughing.

"Aww," Donna and Molly were interested in our mushy love stuff while Laurance and Logan were clutching each other for support as they burst into a fit of laughter. (I know, I'm so weird, making Logan laugh, he has a heart somewhere.. Right?)

(Early Evening/Sunset)

We were in the clearing, near the outskirts of the village, (like the place that they cleared the trees) enjoying a small picnic while Garroth had just taken off his helm, and I was laying on his lap, while he fiddled around with my hair, and I was just talking, we were talking about nothing, being content in each other's company. And this this came up:

"I'm nervous." I stated.

"Wedding?" He asked.

"What else?"

"*sigh* not this again,"

"Like, really nervous."

"And?"

"What if I trip while I'm walking down the isle?"

"What if you don't?"

"But what if I don't get there on time, and ruin the whole thing?" I sat up.

"What if you don't?"

"And what if I-" he shut me up with a long, lingering kiss, and we were mostly making small talk for the rest of the night. But I'm gonna be really honest. I need to tell Garroth, and I regret that I didn't tell him then. I saw a figure. Zane? No. But he was dressed in white, with a mask. But Zane is in a high security prison, with the jury of nine guarding him. But this man looked exactly like Zane, could it really be? No, or... Yes?
