WARNING - LONG CHAPTER (I don't even care about word limits anymore)

A/N - Sorry I'm not updating as much on the Descendants story, it's just that I'm winging it on that, while I have a few things (cough cough Drama~Llama cough cough) planned for this story. Anyway, ONTO DA THINGY!

Aphmau's PoV

Shadow Knights, one after the other, coming towards me with armor and weapons, while I stood there unarmed. Garroth wasn't in sight, and couldn't save me this time. The Shadow Knights, they were led by Zane and Gene, holding swords of pure smoky black darkness, Zane stepped forward and swung his sword, and I fell off the hill that held my home. I shrieked as I fell to my death-

"APHMAU?" Garroth looked down on me with tired, concerned eyes. "Are you okay?"

"I- um- did I wake you?"

"Nah, I was.. I was already up, although you did scream."

"Why were you awake?"

"Well I... Nowadays, I wake up about ten times a night, just to make sure you're still here.."

"Aw, Garroth.. "

"It's fine... At least I can be reassured my princess is still by my side, right?"

"I did the same while you were gone..." I admitted.

"Aphmau, that's different, you're pregnant, and that's different, it's not good for-"

"I'm fine..." I looked away.

His tone softened. "It's 6:45, do you wanna go back to sleep?"

"Yeah..." I laid back down on the bed. Garroth pulled me close, and that safe feeling from before slowly returned.

"You know, I don't know what I did to end up with you.." Garroth whispered. "I could live a billion lifetimes or more and never deserve you.."

"Nonsense... Garroth, you-"

"I couldn't protect you... The night you were taken... I failed, and-"

"Garroth, please... Stop this. I don't want negative attitude from you."

"But it's true.."

"You are my knight. My guard. My husband. My love. My light-"

"And you are my life." He looked at me with his bright blue eyes. "Goodnight."

"G'night.." I mumbled. My eyes slowly closed in the safety of Garroth's arms, and the rest of my sleep was untouched by nightmares.

Garroth's PoV

My eyes were staring into complete darkness, and the only thing I could see were a pair of eyes... Strange, icy blue eyes that matched mine. I focused a bit, and made out an insane smile.

"Hello, BROTHER," Zane crooned. "Now, now, don't bring out the sword yet.." He smirked, and made a movement with his hand like pulling a curtain. "Oh, dear... Looks like Aphmoo got herself a little STUCK."
