XXX. You Okay?

A/N - Hey guys! I'm just sayin I have a bit of family drama going on right now, and um, it made me realize how thankful I am to have you guys, not as readers, but friends. I love going over the comments that you leave, your supportive (and threatening to kill me) comments always brighten my day, and I'm so thankful that there are at least 12K people out there who can support me, and I wanna give a HUGE thank you to Dover126  (YOU LEFT ME THO) and feelzyfeelz because without them, I seriously wouldn't be here, writing fanfics, and WOW. I have NEVER been this sappy... Huh. ANYWAY, A FEW ANNOUNCEMENTS, hehe..😅 right, so school (UGH) is keeping me busy, and (YOU KNOW WHAT? SCREW THE SCHEDULE, IM DOIN WHAT I WANT.) I'll probably be updating every two days... I'm trying to be that author that you can count on to get a chapter or more up in a week. Right, so ONTO DA STORY!! (But srsly, just know that you guys are part of the reason I wake up in the morning😘 UGH, AGAIN WITH THE SAPPINESS)

Garroth's PoV

I.. I couldn't really believe what that soul chamber did to Aphmau. She was trembling in my arms, and practically too fragile to even touch. At this point.. I don't think the Aphmau from before will come back... At least I have her now...?

Aphmau's PoV

I'd like to say I fully recovered from the soul chamber incident, but... I haven't.. I d-don't think I'll ever recover, even now.. I-

"You guys ready?" Laurance appeared at the door with a sad smile.

"Aph, you ready?" Garroth rubbed my arm.

"..m-mmhmm.." I tried my best to stop shaking.

"C'mon, get up.." He carefully helped me up, and I clutched him and Laurance for support all the way to the plaza.

"Aphmau!"

"Lady Aphmau!"

"Aphmau you're back!" Friends greeted me with happy faces, and warm smiles, while I trembled, and managed a weak smile, but I barely talked.

"H-h-hi.." I peeped.

"Quiet! Aphmau's still trying to recover." Garroth raised an arm, and placed the other around me. "We don't want her getting overwhelmed, now do we?" The crowd murmured in agreement.

"AAAHHH!" My high-pitched scream pierced the darkness, and from then on, I knew I wasn't safe. I could feel myself falling... Not to the ground, but into eternal darkness, until I reached my destination. "WH-WHERE AM I? GARROTH?"

"My puny brother isn't here... Princess." His words followed by maniacal laughter revealed his identity. Zane.

"Z-ZANE? I SWEAR, IF YOU- AAAHHH!" I started to fall until I came back.

"Puny, weak sister-in-law... How are you my dear?"

"ZANE- I- GARROTH WILL-"

"Garroth. Will do. NOTHING." He smiled. "Surely you're strong-" he pulled a sword and tried to stab me, and I dodged. "Enough-" stab and dodge. "To- Face- Your own- brother- in- law?"

"AH!" I spun, and I received a cut on my left forearm.

Garroth's PoV

"A-APHMAU! WHAT'S HAPPENING TO HER?" I shook her unconscious body. He was kicking, thrashing.. Calling my name.. "APHMAU!" As if an invisible sword slashed her, a cut on her left forearm appeared. (Srry, probably considered stealing from feelzyfeelz I think.. IM SORRY IF UR THE WRONG AUTHOR, I HAVE WAY TOO MANY GARMAU FANFICS TO KEEP UP WITH) "APHMAU?" Tears started running from my eyes.

"G-gar- GARROTH!" Aphmau shot up and held me tight, while I never wanted to let go. I could feel her tears spilling on my shoulder. "YOU'RE HERE, YOU'RE SAFE, I GOT-"

"Shh.. You don't need to worry about me... That's my job... Shh... Do you think you can use your magicks on your wound?" I asked softly.

"I-I'll try.." She put a hand over her wound, and a small splutter came out, almost a teeny spark of pink. She shook her head. "I can't... Garroth, can we go home?"

"Yeah we can... C'mon princess.. Let's get you fixed up a bit better.." Then I raised my voice a bit. "Because if Aphmau gets better, than we can party, right?" Aphmau laughed gently. I picked her up, and carried her home.

"Garroth.. I.. -" Aphmau hesitated. "C-can you stay with me?"

"What do you mean?" I clasped her hands in mine.

"I- c-can you.. Defend me? S-stay by my side?"

"Always." I pulled her close, and we kissed. I didn't notice it, but her magicks activated and healed her cut.

"Heh.. Looks like I always need you to heal... " she smiled.

"So.. Do you feel better?"

"Maybe.. If you stay with me for the rest of the day?"

"Aph, I need to return to my guard-"

"Pleeeaaaaase?"

"Fine.. But only for-"

"AAHH!" Her body went limp in my arms. She started violently trembling, shaking her head. "Garroth... Garroth help me... GARROTH! Wait..." A tear rolled down her cheek. Followed by another, then another, until she was sobbing and muttering. "GARROTH! NO, GARROTH! STOP IT, PLEASE! NO, I'LL-" she gasped for air, and practically leaped into my arms and started hyperventilating while she cried.

"It's okay.. C'mon princess.. I'll keep you safe.. I'm right here." I started rocking her, comforting her while she cried. "You wanna go to sleep?" She nodded her head. She was still trembling, even safe and secure in my arms. "It's okay... Stay strong... Just hang in there..." I placed a hand on her stomach. "You can do that, right?" She nodded, and I looked away for a second, then as soon as I looked back, my princess was fast asleep.
