XXII. Help Me

A/N - Well, well, well. I'm surprised you actually came back after what I did. Well, you wanna read it don't you? Go on then! *sits in the corner laughing maniacally* I don't have a problem...

Aphmau's PoV

"No... no, LAURANCE WHAT HAPPENED?" I asked frantically. I rushed over to Garroth's side, and cupped my hands to his face. "Is he...?"

"I- um.. Aphmau- well,- we- uh.."

"WHAT?" I demanded.

"Aphmau, you have to understand-"

"NO! I WON'T! WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF I WERE..."

Laurance got quiet.

I started sobbing again, and Laurance didn't dare touch me.

"A-ph-mau.." I feeble voice broke the silence.

I looked over, and I nearly fainted. "GARROTH! OH MY GOD, I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD! YOUR HEART STOPPED BEATING!"

(Your PoV - *puts down the weapons*
Me: but wait for it...)

"Zane.. He stole my soul from my body, so I appeared dead."

"BRO! ITS- OH MY GOD- I-"

"Laurance?"

"YES, I- I'm going to give you two some time alone."

"Thank you."

"You were dead," the tears came back. "And I nearly... Are you really here?"

"Yeah, princess.. I'm here.." His weak hand made its way to my face and dried my tears.

"Don't ever leave me again.."

"I won't... I'd never.. And by the way, I heard what you said a few nights ago. I love you too." He managed a smile. I laid my head on his now somewhat healed chest and we were like that for a moment.. Then, "NO! APHMAU, HELP ME! ZANE'S--" his heart stopped.

"NO! NO... NO.. NOT AGAIN, LAURANCE!" I started weeping again as Laurance came through the door.

"He.. ZANE!" I started breathing heavily as if I'd just awoken from a nightmare. I briefly explained to Laurance as to what had just happened.

(You still wanna hurt me?)

"He.. He'll come back, right?" Laurance started shaking. I instinctively lunged forward and hugged him. (NO. THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED LAURMAU. IF YOU CONSIDER IT LAURMAU, THEN GET OUT, AND NEVER RETURN TO THIS FANFIC. EVER.)

"I don't know... But I really do hope so..."

-A few nights later-

It'd been at least two weeks since Garroth briefly came back. He hasn't come back since, and I'm worried... WHAT IF HE NEVER COMES BACK? WHAT IF...

"Help... Me.."

"GARROTH?"

"Aph?"

"I'M HERE, I'M HERE... It's okay... I'm right here.." I grasped his hand. "I'm right here.." I got him up and leaned him on a pillow, and we were now in a cuddling position.

"How long?"

"Two weeks... You left me for two weeks..." I rested my head in the crook of his neck to hide the tears.

"Hey... It's okay.. I'm here now, aren't I?"

"Mmhm..."

"Aph, you have to help me.." He lifted his eyes to meet mine. Those once bright blue eyes filled with joy and laughter were filled with distant sadness, maybe even loneliness... "Zane.. You need to find him."

"Why?"

"You find him, you find me... You do wanna find me, right?"

(Ahem, right, so I'm using my moms iPad, and for some reason, when I use italics, it comes out as italics and bold < [see?] idk why, ahem, anyway~)

"But you're right here..?"

"But my soul isn't. Soul Chambers. Like soul stones, but instead of caring the actual body, it carries just the soul. Zane releases mine, only for a moment, then he takes it, just to mess with you," his talking got faster. "Aphmau, you have to find where Zane's hideout is so you can-"

Gone.

(I'm confused on wether you still wanna kill me or not.)

The next week, Garroth didn't come back... Or the next... Or the next... It went on like this, but everyone was at least glad that I got to see him at least once. I moped around for a month in sadness, but I barely left the house. I kind of abandoned my duties as a lord, but checked on everyone now and then. Because of Garroth's 'condition' I checked on him... All the time.. Every hour... Of every day... (That's EXACTLY what I do to ur channel, Aphmeow.)

"Aphmau! I-" he started, then left. A few moments, then "Aphmau, please-" gone. "Lucinda's old house!" At least 15 minutes of silence. "Old crab cave!" And he was gone. He gave me the location, now all I could do is hope that Zane didn't know.

"Aphmau, what's going- DID GARROTH COME BACK?" Laurance burst through the door. I nodded.

-Brief Explanation-

"I'm going with you."

"No, you're acting as head guard, you can't go."

"Yes I can, Aphmau-"

"There are only 2 guards left if you come."

"4 if you count Dale and Nicole!"

"I'm doing this alone."

"Aphmau, you can't seriously-"

"I'm going alone."

"Yes, my lord."

I wrangled up the dogs, gave Levin and Malachi a goodbye, visited everyone, and then I was off.

A/N - Hiiiiiii! DO YA WANNA KILL ME? MAAAYYYYBEEE? LALALALAAA! Nah, (I STILL DONT FORGIVE MYSELF FOR- ahem,) but, nah, I won't make you wait in agony for the next chapter... Or will I? (I have the shortest amount of patience so I probably won't make you wait in agonizing pain.)
