Chapter 7

EMILY'S P.O.V.

I walked back up to the castle for D.A.D.A. that went by in a blur along with history of magic it didn't help that professor Binns was boring already but it was night time and I might have accidentally fell asleep in class. But Rain woke me up to go to dinner and then back to the dormitories for bed.

********time skip to about a month and a half later************

The rest of the time at Hogwarts went by quickly in fact it went by so quickly it's already time for the trip to Hogsmade. Malfoy still teased me for not talking and it's only gotten worse. Harry has been really sweet about the whole mute thing though. So I am in the process of getting ready to go with Rain.

"Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?!!!!!!" Rain yelled as she raided my closet throwing my cloths left and right. "Ah ha here it is!" She said in triumph as she held up my navy blue leggings. "Here put these on." She said as she chucked them in my face but thanks to my amazing reflexes I caught them. I pulled them on over my legs and then pulled my pajama shirt off and put my grey long sleeve sweater on. "Now where are those cute shoes you wore to my house last year for Christmas?" She asked as she looked in my trunk for the dark brown knee high boots. "Yeah I found them! Now put them on while I look for that maroon scarf you have."

She rummaged through my trunk some more until she came across the scarf. As she was looking for that I had pulled my boots on over my leggings. She through the scarf at me and I put that on I stood up and did a twirl.

'What do you think?' I wrote she looked at me then started going through my jewelry on my desk.

"I think you need this necklace to go with it."she said as she pulled out my cross necklace. I took the scarf off and put the necklace on. It hung to about the middle of my chest so I put the scarf back on over the charm that I had on.

"OH! It needs one more thing!" She exclaimed as she ran towards my closet looking for something. "Here it is!" And she held up a black purse with studs on one side that hung to about my waist when I had it on. "Now your ready" she said smiling at her work.

I held up my finger and walked to the bath room with her looking confused I left the door open as I searched for my makeup. When I found what I was looking for I applied the baby pink lipstick then I changed my hair to a chestnut brown with the tips royal blue. I changed my eyes to a hazel color and added sparkly gold eye shadow, eye liner, and some mascara. I smiled walked out of the bathroom and turned to Rain.

She smiled and said, "You look amazing now what ti......OMG!!!!! Your going to be late run! I'll see you later! She said as she pushed me out of the dorms and out the portrait hole. I walked quickly down the several flights of stairs to the courtyard. I slowed my pace to catch my breath and walked calmly the rest of the way to the gates. I saw Harry and started towards him.

I reached him and waved with a friendly smile and wrote 'hey are you ready to go to Hogsmade?' I asked him.

"Ya there's a bunch of places I want to show you" he said smiling. I smiled but it soon fell when I saw HIM walking towards us.

"What's wrong?" Harry asked with a confused look on his face. I looked behind him and he turned around. His face changed from confusion to mad in about 2 seconds. He pushed me behind him as if he were a shield.

"What do you want Malfoy?" Harry said with a scowl on his face.

"Oh nothing I just wanted to check up on the little mute here and her boy toy the boy who lived. I mean she's probably the schools biggest slut here and you don't even realize it." He said with a smirk on his face staring at me the entire time. The words stung I can tell you that but I will not show weakness this time I will stay here and not let anything ruin this day not even Malfoy. I stood my ground and put a mask on that showed no emotion.

"Come on Em let's go sometimes you just have to ignore him." Harry said as he turned us around and we started walking. I nodded my head as we set off to Hogsmade. When we arrived I saw all the shops cluttered together only a limited amount of room was available to walk down the streets seeing as it was so busy. There was snow lightly falling from the sky as we walked and finally Harry started talking.

"So where do you want to go first?" He asked I looked around. And spotted a store that everyone seemed to be walking into I pointed to it and he nodded. Going on about how it was the best joke shop ever and how I had a good tast in stores and thanking me that I didn't want to go into the tea shop madam puddifoot's and so much more that I just blocked him out as I looked around.

I noticed the nose-biting tea cups and the hiccup sweets and everything else they had to offer but this wasn't my type of store. So once Harry finished his shopping in there I looked around for a different store to go into when I spotted a second store just a little bit away.

'Can we go into that one?' I asked Harry while pointing to the shop. He nodded and we looked around. It was a candy shop that was for sure I could tell by the cauldron cakes, the licorice wands, the ice mice, the chocolate frogs and everything else you could think of.

I headed towards the part of the store that had the sugar quills and started my collection of sweets I wanted to get. By the time I was done I had picked out two sugar quills, three cauldron cakes, a licorice wand, some ice mice, and four chocolate frogs. I brought all my things up to the counter ready to pay when Harry stepped in.

"No I pay for everything today and don't worry about paying me back ok" he said as he payed the lady at the counter. I reluctantly nodded my head unsure if it was ok or not but if he said it was ok then I trusted him enough to not be scared. We walked out of the shop and headed to the Three Broomsticks to get a butter beer. We sat down at one of the tables just talking about whatever well it's more him talking and me writing but whatever he didn't seem to mind. After we finished the delicious drinks Harry took my hand and we started walking to an old looking building that looked kind of creepy.

'Where are we going' I asked by writing it in the air.

"This is the Shrieking Shack it's supposed to be haunted but it wasn't and still isn't. I know cause Hermione, Ron and I got to go in side in our third year. I nodded my head as we sat down on a rock. I leaned my head down on his shoulder as he started playing with my hair.

"Hey Emily" he asked I looked up from his shoulder because he never used my full name unless it was something important. I tiled my head to the side with a questioning look on my face.

"Iwaswonderingifyoumaybesortawanttogooutwithme"I looked at him and even though he talked really fast I understood what he said perfectly. I let a smile creep it's way on my face and nodded rapidly as I threw my arms around him and hugged him. He hugged me back with the same expression as mine I don't know how long we where like that hugging on that rock but it was nice and when we did let go we interlaced our fingers and started to walk back up to the school.

When we got to the common room I jogged up the stairs put my sweets in my trunk and jogged back down the stairs where he was waiting for me we sat on the couch in front of the fire with me snuggled up to his chest and him playing with my hair and that's how we fell asleep that night.
