Joseph came over to her quietly and woke her, motioning for her to follow him outside for a walk, breakfast and to talk. They were walking to the cafeteria talking and catching up also Casey explaining that she was only here to visit for work and was leaving next week which was a month away from Christmas. They ate breakfast in the cafeteria and then soon returned to my room. When they came back I was awake and sitting up eating a little bit although I still wasn't very hungry. They were talking and we decided that since we just met again and that she was my children's aunt that we would visit her in Michigan at Christmas. I got released a few days later. Joseph stayed home from work so that I could follow the doctors orders of bed rest. I was sleeping on the couch with Joseph next to me and my oxygen on the floor. I would be off the oxygen in 2 weeks and then 2 weeks later it is Christmas. Thanksgiving was here and I had talked to Casey and we are going to mix Christmas and Thanksgiving together at her house since she is in Michigan. The next day it was Thanksgiving and I was feeling sicker than ever but half starving. Joseph came running down the stairs, happily. Hey do you feel well enough to go over to Mom's for a little Thanksgiving dinner if you don't it is fine I am gonna drop the kids off,he asked. I sat up a little readjusting the nubbins, turning off the TV. Yeah I want to go I feel fine,I guess,I said which wasn't true because I felt like crap but I was tired of the same scenery and seeing the same thing and doing it. Joseph carried me upstairs and got the kids ready while I took a shower and got ready myself. When I was done he carried me back down the steps and sat me in the passengers seat of my Subaru since I can't drive myself without someone and that it is easier to get everything aka my wheelchair and oxygen into it. I had a mask on like they told me for when I go out and even though it is small and germ free I still have to wear it over my oxygen nubbins. The kids climbed in the back with me and Joseph had my pills that I had to take.We went to Alexis's and Joseph carried me up the stairs and then sat me down in a chair while grabbing my wheelchair and helped me to sit in it adjusting my oxygen tank bag thing onto the back of it. I looked and there was at least a hundred cars here. The kids followed and he pushed me inside.Inside there was a ton of people. There was a lot and I was glad for my mask and oxygen because it was kinda stuffy but it was just me. Alexis helped me to fix my plate of food after hugging me,Joseph and the kids, welcoming us. We went over to the dining room table and they cleared a spot for me. I ate and ate like there was no end it was so good but I was hoping that I could keep it down beings I get sick most times after I eat. I took my medicine and we went and talked to some people. Mary-Kate has stayed by my side the whole time. She was my girl and she seemed really mature compared to the others and she told me that she wants to be a doctor also. I had billions of people asking if I was okay and what had happened. I sent Mary-Kate to find Joseph to help her get me a glass of tea. I wasn't supposed to have it but I needed something sweet and one glass wouldn't hurt me.I pulled the mask down quick so that I could have a sip of it before putting it back on. The kids were with Joseph and I told Mary-Kate she could too but she didn't want to leave my side. We went home that night filled with joy. I remembered why people were asking because I forgot to tell everyone on Facebook. That night before I went to bed,I was laying on the couch waiting for Joseph and I got on my phone. I added pictures from today, the beach, and everything from the day I got sick a couple weeks ago. I wrote: " Starting a few weeks ago,Joseph and I went out to a dinner and to a beach and I had a terrible flashback the worst one and the first in years. Like anyone else would panic beings no one is around we stayed calm. I fell unconscious so I was sitting in his lap. Some girl named Casey Anne Roberts Stevens was running by. She came hearing calls for help and called 911. I realized it was my adopted sister I didn't hardly know or remember. I have gotten better but I am still sick although most of it is respiratory and I am ordered to bed-rest or a wheelchair. I have oxygen but only for 2 weeks longer then I will leave to visit Casey. Joseph has been here for me through all of it. Thank you everyone but please keep us in your prayers." Joseph had thrown my mask away earlier and was now covering us both up while laying next to me. I was in his arms and I could hear his heartbeat and it lulled me to sleep. Two Weeks Later, I was off the oxygen and bed-rest order so I could walk but I was still on medicine. We left for Casey's the next morning it was 2 weeks until Christmas and they had suggested I be careful and that I should wear a mask in public but I am not going to since it isn't mandatory and plus it is my life. We were almost there and I was driving since I wanted to,not driving in forever, and because I knew where we were going. The kids had asked to watch a movie so we let them. We had bought a van a few months ago we just never drove it so we brought it here with us. In the back 3 seats was Jessica,Bailey, and Jenna and in the other 2 seats closest to me and Joseph was Mary-Kate and April. Jake our puppy was at home with Alexis. There was traffic and I had stopped just in time. That was when someone unintelligent was flying down the road and seeing the traffic was unable to stop in time. They hit us in the rear hard and I hollered out. I was bleeding and I got hit by the airbag really hard that it had knocked me unconscious. Daddy,Mommy,my kids were screaming and crying. We were rolling down a hill but not to fast. April almost flew through the windshield. Joseph caught her and all of our kids protecting them. He made Bailey and Jenna jump out the window first. He had to hurry or we were going to drown.Catch your sisters,he shouted and made Jessica,Mary-Kate,and April jump. 5 feet from the water,Joseph freed me and jumped out with me in his arms. He laid me down gently on the beach. I was hardly breathing and alive,I was fading fast. The kids were okay besides some bumps, bruises, and cuts so was Joseph. They looked as if they were going to be pretty sore. Someone had called 911 at least. There was a medic team that was on their way. They made it there and barely in time. There was a crowd that has gathered, most of them crying, they were praying I could feel them praying for us,and one puked into the bushes lining the street above. In the ambulance I was on a stretcher all the while Joseph had the kids in his lap. He called Casey,Alexis, and a concerned group of friends while posting to Facebook. Casey was going to meet us at the hospital since it apparently is like 2 blocks from the hospital. They rushed me into the OR for a couple of serious fractures having tests done and that I was in a medically induced coma. The kids and Joseph got looked over and they were fine. Casey,Joseph, and my kids were all in the waiting room hoping for good news.
