“WHAT!” Valeria half-yelled jumping off of the couch causing her to fall on the floor with a thud,

“Oh, Honey are you okay?” Kayleigh asked her daughter worriedly, Valeria stood from the ground and rubbed her forehead. She placed herself back at the couch.

“What do you mean by Arlandia? Vacation?” she asked

“Well, I got my work transferred from Arlandia and besides your father has his moved in there too. He is now a head of a branch there, Your father is an Arlandian dear you know that. And we are going to your home country!” her mother said happily. Valeria sighed and relaxed her body, she doesn’t want to leave Modesto, she just want to stay. But there was one more confirmation she need, will they stay there or no, she thought that maybe it was just a vacation. She sighed in relief and stood from the couch to head upstairs “And….” Her mother said with her index finger pointing on the ceiling, Valeria stopped at her tracks and looked at her wishing that she’ll never say the words she was expecting “We will stay there for GOOD!” Valeria fell back on the couch and sighed.

“But mom!” she tried to object but her mother motioned her hands giving her the sign that her mind won’t change anymore.

“I know you are sad, dear. But I already bought our tickets and booked our flight, so you better pack because we are leaving tomorrow morning” she explained, Valeria was shocked.

“Tomorrow morning? But how can we pack the whole house? We’ll stay awake all night?” she asked, her mother chuckled

“Of course not my dear, remember we have a house at Arlandia that your father has inherited from your grandparents. It’s on Otsedom, which means we also have a good view at the castle” she exclaimed, Valeria sighed heavily and just headed upstairs to her room to call Mary. Though Mrs. FairHolm was happy about moving to Arlandia, she knew that it was hard for her daughter because she grew up on Modesto and she already have her friends in here settled. Kayleigh sighed and glanced at her husband, he gently rubbed her back and gave a gesture to her wife with his free hand.

“Don’t worry honey, she will overcome all of her sadness when we get there” he said trying to comfort her wife.

“Well! Let’s go packing then! We are going to be busy tomorrow!” she said and headed to their room while humming.

Valeria on the other hand, closed the door behind her gently and crawled on her pink and purple colored bed. She grabbed her bag, dialed her phone and called Mary.

“Hey YO! Mary here speaking!” Mary said cheerfully

“Hey sis!” Valeria said lazily.

“Hey! VAL! Anything wrong? Why did you call?” she said on a singsong voice.

“Are you stupid? Of course I’ll call you, you are my best friend!” Valeria corrected,

“OUCH!” Mary said on the phone, Valeria shook her head, she knows she’s clutching her chest right now.

“Oh, well then… I won’t be able to go to school tomorrow or… Come over to your house tomorrow” she sadly said.

“WHY NOT!” Mary pouted like a child.

“Because….” Valeria cannot find her voice and began choking.

“WHAT!” Mary asked impatiently.

“Because, I am moving to Arlandia tomorrow morning and we are staying there for good…” she said and tears burst out of her eyes.

“HUH!” Mary asked, shocked and began crying as well. “WHY! WHY! WHY!” she yelled and Valeria heard some stomping sounds.
