~Next Morning, back at Modesto, California~
Mary had awaken early for her trip to Arlandia, and she was sure to love for Valeria told her about it a few years ago. Mary had her hands in the handle of her luggage and she has bags on the other hand, she sighed heavily as she enters the airport. Though her mother don’t want her to go, she insisted and told her that it was her dream of visiting Arlandia and she was about to meet her best friend and model her finale. Those are the reasons why her mother agreed, but she instructed Mary to be home right after the show. She told her that she has no worries about the expenses for she already has a sponsor.
“Goodbye mom! Be good while I am gone!” she told her mother, pulling her into a warm hug.
“Ok, I agreed because Valeria is there and I know she’ll take care of you. Take care of yourself as well ok?” her mother cried. She rolled her eyes,
“Yes mom! Now, I am going to go! See you, I’ll give you a call when I’m there” she said, her mom burst of out tears.
“I-I C-can’t b-believe m-my d-daughter’s leaving me” she cried, burying her face on her hands. Her husband pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back soothingly.
“Don’t cry mom! I’ll be gone for only a month!” she exclaimed “Don’t you worry” she gave her a kiss on the forehead and picked her luggage up and boarded her plane “Goodbye Modesto, HELLO ARLANDIA!” she said to herself. When she found a seat next to the window, she sighed and squealed in excitement. She gazed out of the window as the plane slowly takes off from the ground, she buckled her seatbelt as instructed by the flight attendant and relaxed her whole body at the chair and went to sleep. When she woke up she found out that she was only 10 minutes away from her destination and she can’t even wait to get out of the plane and hug her best friend.
She was glad of leaving the plane, she had her leg stiff for sitting for almost 8 hours, she walked through the airport with her luggage along, she can’t wait to see Valeria. As for Valeria, she was asked by Lauren to come with him for a surprise, she gladly accepted and she was confused when they stopped in front of the airport.
“What are we doing here?” she asked him, stepping out of his car and shutting the door behind her. Lauren pointed something behind her and she gasped of seeing her friend “MARY!” she ran and hugged her
“VAL! OH MY GOSH! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!” she pulled away from the hug and kissed her on the cheek. “Is that Lauren?” she asked looking at Kevin, Valeria nodded and to her shock. Mary ran and hugged him, “Thanks so much for being my sponsor!” she thanked him and pulled away from the hug “Is this…. Arlandia?” she asked, looking around. The airport was located on a high spot at Otsedom and you will have all the sight you want to see up there. “It’s just so beautiful!” she sighed swinging her hands back and forth.
“Come on now, we’ll take you at a hotel” Lauren said opening the car door for them both.
“Oh! Wait!” Valeria halted her “Just stay at my house, I’ll be happy to take in a guess, we have an available guest room at the house” she offered, giving her puppy eyes.
“That would be amazing!” she squealed, hugging her best friend “Let’s go!” she said and ushered her in the car.
