She arrived; you cannot believe that she ran her whole way through. The beach is the only place that he’ll be able to reminisce the last time they walked with each other, peacefully without any problems to think about. She saw him on his tux with his hands on his pocket, he was standing there by the shore facing the sea and staring at the sunset.
“Kevin?!” he spun around and gave her a sad smile. She unexpectedly ran into his arms and hugged him possessively, “I can’t think of anything else” a tear rolled down her rosy cheek “I love you, Kevin. And there’s nothing that can keep me from doing so” she pulled away and wiped the tear.
“I love you too, Valeria” he said and pulled her into a kiss. The kiss was normal, yet it was full of love and passion. Flashes of camera sparked behind the bushes and trees, but the couple ignored them, they continued to kiss passionately. But Valeria pulled away intently then hugged him tightly. Kevin was happy to have her back, but it made him wonder “What about your dream?” he asked,
“My dream is nothing without you” she answered, without pulling away. Kevin kissed her on the forehead and threw her over his shoulder; she laughed “Kevin! Put me down!” she giggled.
“Oh, never going to happen! Even if it take forever!!” he laughed,
“Where are you taking me?!” she asked, blood running into her head.
“Oh! You’ll know” he answered
“Put me down! I can’t breathe anymore” she said, Kevin placed her down lightly and gave her a peck on the lips. More flashed came and the Medias we’re spying on Kevin and Valeria, that’s when he realized
“The medias are here, I want you to run and get back in the car” he whispered lightly,
“How do they know you’re here?” she asked,
“Oh believe me, they know everything” he chuckled; they began to run for his Porsche. They buckled their seatbelt then Kevin began to drive off,
“Tomorrow will be my fashion night!” she smiled,
“Yes! Can I attend?” he asked,
“Gladly, you’ll be my guest of honor” she kissed him on the cheek, then handed him 6 tickets.
“Why six? We’re only five” he asked, after accepting the tickets.
“I guess you could invite your cousin, it think it was Louise?” her brows raised as she looked up on the sky.
“It’s Lady Elaine actually” he chuckled,
“Oh! Invite her! It’d be a pleasure to meet her, remember, your family is the guests of honor!” she clapped her hands, and excitement beamed in her eyes “But, I guess this would be the last time I could design and have a cat-walk” she sighed,
“Why not? If you’re a queen you still could design” he stated while drawing a glance at Valeria and placing her eyes back on the road.
“Yes, but with all the duties, I don’t think so. And even if I have time, their treatment on me wouldn’t be fair” she concluded, her eyes wandering all around.
“You’re probably right, why don’t we put you under a disguise?” he asked, a smirk crept on his face.
“Oh no! I would be me” she shook her head stubbornly,
“I guess I learnt my lesson!” they both laughed
“I wish you just told me the first time” she said and rested her head.
“And sacrifice having you ignore me all around? I don’t think so” he accelerated their speed while driving. A small figure came crossing the road, almost bumping it, but Kevin stopped on his tracks. The sound of tires screeching against the road alerted Valeria, as she hold on to her safety belt.
"What happened" asked Valeria, stepping out of the car. The incident caught the eyes of the people around and they started murmuring. There laid a small crying little girl, she wore an over-sized white shirt -which was covered in grease and so is her body- and her feet wasn't in any shoes.
"Are you okay?" Kevin asked, stepping out of his car and shutting the door behind him.
"Don't hurt me" she whimpered, her knuckles brushing against her eyes wiping away the tears. Valeria approached her carefully and threw her in her arms, ignoring the dirt the child was covered in.
"Shsh, We'll not hurt you. I promise" she rubbed her back soothingly. The small creature wiped her tears away and rested her head on Valeria's shoulder
"Mommy" the girl whispered. Valeria's heart shutter as the child remarked on her words. What would a poor and lonely child do on the streets by herself? "Don't leave me, mommy" she whispered. Valeria threw Kevin a glance who was staring at them both confusingly.
"Are you okay, little one?" Kevin asked, approaching the child slowly.
"I am okay" she sniffed "Daddy?" she whimpered. Valeria gave him a warning look,
"Uh, yes" he stuttered "I am not ready for this, Valeria" he mouthed. Valeria smiled and nodded at him slowly. Flashes of camera we're everywhere as Valeria snuggled the child closer to her arms as she boarded the car, which Kevin held for her open. He boarded as well and head to Valeria's house, "What are we going to do now?" he asked, drawing a glance at Valeria. It appeared that the child had fallen asleep.
"We are going to dress her up. I can't leave her at the orphanage, she has to grow up along with a family. Just like me" she sighed,
"You have a soft spot for the children, I see" he chuckled "And I am the father" they both laughed,
"Surely, don't get used to it though” she stifled a chuckle, while she held a sleeping creature in her arms
