Chapter 7

This is just a continuation of what happened in Chapter 5. Also, I might do some more chapters in Matt's POV. So let me no if that's a good idea.

After the second gun shot went off, I heard Caitlin scream. I looked down to see her arm bleeding. We got to her friends window and climbed in.

"Can you carry Jemima?" Caitlin asked.

I nodded and we ran out of the room and down the stairs. We got outside and the police were there. I handed Jemima to one of them and threw up in a trash can.

It was all too much.

I quickly texted Matt telling him I wanted him to come to Toronto now. After that, I blacked out.

-------------------------

I woke up in a hospital bed, shaking. Some one knocked on the door. I sat up and they came in.

"Matt." I cried hugging him.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Yes. Now that you are here." I told him, digging my face into his arm.

"I'm so sorry that I  wasn't here."

"I'm glad you weren't there. It was one of the worst moments of my life. When I heard the first gunshot when off, I thought it was the end. That's why I called you. To tell you I loved you."

"I never had a chance to tell you that I loved you too. When I found out I was scared. Cassidy, I didn't want to lose you." he told me.

He held me and wouldn't let go.

"I'm so happy that you are okay." he said.

"I love you." I told him.

"I love you too." he whispered.

"I should probably get some sleep. Stay with me."

"Of coarse."

He laid down next to me and put his jacket around me. It made me feel safe. I fell asleep in his arms.

----------------

"You have to get your arm amputated?" I asked Caitlin.

"Sadly, yes. There was some rust that got in very deep into my arm. Apperently it got really badly infected." she told us.

"How will you take care of Jemima?" I asked.

"I don't know. Do you think you could help out?" she asked.

"Of coarse." I told her, giving Caitlin a hug.

"Okay, you should probably go now."

"Okay. Bye Caitlin." I said leaving.

I went back to Matt and told him about it. We sat in my room. I got  an e-mail from my brother, Noah.

"Hey Matt guess what." I said.

"What?" Matt asked.

"My brother, Noah, is getting married in December." I told him.

"Really?"

"Yeah. We're invited. Wanna go?"

"Yeah. I don't actually think I've met him. Where is it?" he asked.

"That's the best part. Apparently, he moved to Vancouver 2 years ago. They are getting married in Vancouver."

"That's great."

------------------------

Matt and I were getting onto the plane to go back to Vancouver. I felt bad that Caitlin had to stay in Toronto for a bit longer. She was coming to Vancouver in a couple weeks. Strangely, she didn't want Jemima staying with her. So, she was coming with us. So many people thought that she was our child.

"What a cute baby. How old is she?" asked the flight attendent.

"Almost 1." I told her.

"She is very cute. You are lucky."

"She's not mine. She's my friends. My friend is in the hospital and I offered to take care of her daughter." I told her.

"That's sweet." she said walking away.

Matt put his arm around me and I rested my head on his shoulder.

Surprisingly, Jemima was very quiet on the way home. It was fun. I really wanted to have kids one day.

It made me think, who will be the one that will father my kids? I looked at Matt.

Will it be him?

Okay. The whole Toronto thing is over. Can't until I write the wedding chapter..... you know..... with Cassidys brother. EKEKEKE thanks for le reads. Vote. Comment. Oh and I would like to dedicate this chapter for no apparent reason to one of my best friends and one of my biggest fans, Emmmmma. Thank you. *Blows French Kiss*
