So this chapter might be long might not be long. I don't know. Also, to my friend Kaitlyn, this is the chapter I was telling you about.
I stood in the room looking at myself in the mirror. I smoothed out my dress and went to meet Matt in the living room. Matt was on the phone.
"Yeah I know. I don't know. I'm hoping that the ring will be golden. Okay. Cass is here. Bye bye."
"Who were you just talking to?" I asked.
"Kevvy." he responded.
"What were you guys talking about?"
He looked at me with his big brown eyes. "Onion rings." he whispered.
I smiled a bit. I loved him, but seriously, I knew he was lying.
We went to his car and drove to the wedding.
--------------
We walked into the ceremony. I told Matt that I wanted to talk to my mom and that he should go find our seats. I looked around. I saw my mom being her bossy self. I walked up to talk to her.
"Hi mom." I said hugging her.
"Hi Cassidy." she said.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Good. How are you? How's Matt?" she asked.
"Good, good. But you know sometimes I feel like I want to get rid of the old." I told her.
"That's nice dear. Hi Emily. Ronnie is just through there." my mom told a girl.
"Mom, I'm trying to tell you that I'm thinking of leaving the old behind me." I told her.
"That sounds lovely." she said.
She wasn't getting it. I needed to talk to her. I needed her advice.
"Mom, what I'm trying to tell you is that I'm thinking about breaking up with Matt." I told her.
As soon as she heard that, she stopped dead in her tracks.
"I thought you loved him." she said.
"I do. I really really do. But we haven't been connecting much lately." I told her.
"Ohhhhhh, honey. Believe it or not, but just a couple hours ago Ronnie told me the exact same thing. I know true love when I see it and you two are a better couple than anyone I've ever seen. Don't break up with him." she told me.
"i don't know..."
"Well, I do. Now go sit." she said.
I sighed. "Fine. Bye mom, talk to you later."
I walked back to Matt. I sat down and he kissed me on the cheek. I noticed something shining in his pocket.
"What's that?" I asked reaching for it.
"Uhhh, I don't know. Ian lent me the suit." he said putting whatever it was into his other pocket.
------------------
"You may now kiss the bride." said the priest.
Noah pulled Ronnie in and kissed her. We all clapped and proceeded to the reception hall. We had dinner, danced, and ate cake.
Around 10 I sat down becauase my feet were getting tired. Matt walked over to me and held out his hand.
"Come with me." he said.
"Okay." I replied, taking his hand to get up.
He pulled me out to a gazebo. The snow was falling slowly. There were lights wrapped around the sides. It looked beautiful.
"What's all this?" I asked.
"I'm not very sure. It was like this when we came out here." he said.
He spun me around and kissed me.
"I love you." he said.
"I love you too."
After a few minutes of not talking, Matt looked at me.
"I know we kind of haven't been together very long but I love you and I want to be with you forever." he said.
"That's so sweet."
"The wedding was beautiful. You know I have always pictured us in a wedding together but, you would be the one in the white dress and we would be the ones standing in the altar." Matt told me. I felt a tear roll down my cheek.
He went digging through his pockets. He pulled out a ring. It was the shining object from earlier.
My stomach jumped a mile. Oh my god. This is actually happening. I thought to myself.
"Cassidy Jones," he got down on one knee. "Will you marry me?"
