Coming Home (A Sequel to I Love You Wherever You Are)

Chapter 14

I sat on the couch writing an e-mail for June. We have'nt seen each other in a while but, I was hoping to see her soon. Matt came home and covered my eyes with his hands. I laughed.

"How was your day?" he asked.

"Good. Yours?"

"Good. I have a surprise for you."

"What is it?" I asked.

"I can't tell you. It's a surprise. Come with me." he said pulling me out the door.

We got into his car and he started to drive. About 5 minutes after he started driving he gave me a bandana and told me to put it on. A few minutes after that he stopped and he helped me out the car.

"Just come right through here." he said.

"Where are you taking me?" I laughed.

"You will see in a minute." he said. "Okay, take off the bandana."

I took it off and was shocked of what I saw. It was a house. It wasn't too big or too small. It was perfect.

"Y-you bought a house?" I asked.

"Not yet. I wanted to find one that you would like and I wanted to make sure that you liked it. Plus, this was the only one that Josh didn't get kicked out of." Matt said.

I laughed. "Let's go look around." I pulled him up the stairs.

On the top floor there was a master bedroom, two smaller rooms, and a room that could be used as an office or den. On the main floor, there was a kitchen (obviously) and a living room. The best part was that the basement was finished so Matt could use it for his instuments.

"So.." Matt started.

"So what?" I asked.

"Are we going to get the house?"

"I thought my reaction of 'Oh my god. We have to fucking buy this house.' when I took off the bandana was pretty clear that I wanted the house." I said.

"Okay. Just making sure. Now, lets go sign some papers."

"Seriously guys? We are just buying a house. Not having a child." I said when Mike, Caitlin, Josh, Samantha, and Ian walked into our apartment.

"Yes but, buying a house is one step closer to having children." Josh said.

"You know, sometimes I wonder how you have a girlfriend." I told him.

"Yeah, so do I." Samantha said under her breath. Josh gave her death eyes. "I'm kidding. I love you."

He continued to glare at her but then broke out into a grin.

"I love you too." he said, grabbing her waist and kissing her.

"Ew, can you not try to make children in front of us?" I asked, half-joking, half-serious. Josh slanted his eyes towards me and smiled. He grabbed Samantha and started kissing her harder. 

"OH MY GOD YOU GUYS STOP!" I yelled, throwing a pillow at them. It hit their faces and they finally broke apart.

"Oh you're gonna get it now Jones," Josh growled. I squealed and started running into the bathroom.

I locked the door and sat on the floor like a 3 year old. 

"Cass, you can come out now. Sam is calming Josh down." Matt said through the door. 

"I'm not leaving until the beast is tamed." I said.

Matt sighed. "He's tamed."

I opened the door. 

"Give me the towel." Matt said.

"Noooo. It will protect me."

"I will protect you." he said.

"Against your best friend?" I asked.

"Him? If he scares you, that bastard can die." he said.

I laughed and we walked back into the living room. We talked and laughed for a few hours.

"So," Caitlin started. "have you guys started any wedding planning yet?"

"Yeah. We have decided that we are having the wedding in May. We haven't really thought of where we are having it yet though." Matt told her.

A few minutes later Caitlin said that she had to go. After that Samantha said that she had to go, Josh wanted to go with her 'cause he's Josh. After they left Matt started to kiss me.

"I'm still here." Ian said.

"Oh my god, Ian. I forgot that you were still here." I laughed.

"It's okay. I'm leaving now. But just so you know, the bedroom, also known as the baby making station, is over there. Try to make it." Ian said.

"Ian, shut the fuck up." Matt said.

Ian made the flirty good bye fingers and left. I laughed.

"Oh come on Matt, it's just a joke." I said.

"It's not a joke if I want it to happen..." he stated and grinned cheekily.

I hit him and went into the bedroom, got changed and pretended to sleep. He came in and got into bed with me, wrapping his arms around me. 

"Goodnight Cass," he whispered, the same way he had whispered onion rings.

"Night Mattie." I mumbled. He kissed the back of my head and I fell into a fitful sleep.
