U.C. reached outwards towards nothing. Sand seeped threw his fingers as a small tunnel wind came by. Glancing down at his friend, he notice a golden charm clutched within her grasp. It peeked out just enough for him to pry it from her death like grip. The girl didn't wake, but he could see that she was still breathing. Soon she was gone and out of his arms within seconds as a flash of red passed his vision.
Kuroo was leaning over the unconscious girl, he seemed as if he was unable of knowing what to do, but stare. U.C. walked up slowly to the teen, before hiding the golden trinket within his jacket pocket. He leaned down to Kuroo's ear and whispered something soft for him to only hear. The teen gave him a confused glance, but U.C. shook his head as the rest of the group came up with quick precision. Kuroo nodded in small understanding, and glanced over the girls face.
U.C. saw this and patted the teens shoulders and backed away from the crowding teens. Walking back to C4, he noticed the dark haired teen was indeed ticked. Maybe even pissed, arms crossed over chest, foot tapping away and sometimes he could see the dark teen wanting to reach for his weapon and probably destroy something.
U.C. reached within his pockets and popped a grape flavored lollipop within the teens mouth without hesitation.
Sighing, U.C. leaned slightly back against a ruined pillar, "So, Oriana's alive..."
"Her siblings are not going to be pleased that we let her go," C4 popped the lollipop out of his mouth, with a satisfied sound.
The two teens glanced at the others, who crowded Kuroo and Renee. They could see how much he loved her, but with what just happened could he handle what was to come. Who knew what the now living Oriana had done to the almost soon to be dead girl. No one even knew what happened, before it did. The teens glared ahead, both understanding the consequences that were to come.
"U.C., what did the Wolfdane girl say to you anyways," C4 grumbled to U.C., leaning against the same ruined pillar C4 peeked over to see what the white haired boy had to say.
Half lowered eyes, U.C. glanced around the mess their hometown was in. Wondering silently if the twin boys were doing alright on their side of the town. U.C. reached within his pocket and tinkered with the golden trinket. Without a second hesitation, U.C. cracked the lollipop within his mouth, spit the stick out and stretched his limbs out. A satisfying pop sound was heard, and U.C. gave off a satisfying sigh, he turned to C4 and gave him one of his smiles.
A smile C4 knew all too well. And apparently so did the gathering teens, who soon came up to U.C. within questions left and right. C4 came up to the group and pushed them slightly away with a grin plastered on his face.
"Alright guys, you all saw what happened. Well as best as you could, and I can't put this in any more slower than I could but you did indeed saw-"
"A Wolfdane correct?" Artemis walked up to the two teens, arms still folded over his chest. He reached over to U.C.'s face and snatched the grape lollipop out of his mouth. Popping it into his own open mouth.
"Grape?" Artemis glanced over to his kids, and the unconscious girl. Sighing, Artemis placed his hands on his hips and shook his head.
"See what I have to deal with now, boys? I knew we shouldn't have taken on this mission," He shook his dark head again and grumbled more under his breath.
"Artemis, what mission are you talking?" U.C. and C4 both looked at the tall dark-head man as if he was a new threat.
"Ah, that's correct, we never really told you why exactly we are here. Did we?" The other teens over heard their father and care taker talking about the mission and gave Artemis a questioning stare.
The unconscious Renee stirred in Kuroo's arms, making him turn his focus onto her instead of the group. U.C. hand reached for the golden trinket unconsciously, but he stopped and sighed. Head hung he glanced at the others, his friends from the past. What were they truly doing here? That is a question that would make any one nervous.
Renee slowly opened her yellow champagne eyes, after blinking a few times it seemed as if she finally regained her senses and realized whose arms she was in. Soon a red head teen male was seen sprawled out on the ground with a red faced Renee huffing her cheeks out. The crowd laughed at her antics, her sisters where soon arms around her and making sure every inch of her was unharmed. Of course she had some ripped clothes showing a little too much, but that was soon covered with her cloak.
"Kids these days.." Artemis gave the kids a small and sad smile, it disappeared as soon as it appeared. U.C. realized the man had gone silent, and seemed as if his mind had gone somewhere else. What was that mission that he was talking about earlier?
"Artemis?"
"Artemis, the mission comes later. Right now, we need to take care of Renee." Kuroo gave Artemis a hard stare from his position on the ground, and slowly sat up. He smiled happily at Renee who in return blushed and glanced away. "Need to take care of my Bunny." He goofily smiled at his own nickname for the red head, who blushed even darker at the red-head boy and puffed her cheeks out once more.
The trinket burned slightly in U.C.'s pocket that it seemed to glow brightly. Renee peeked over Kuroo, but as soon as she did the trinket burning sensation and glow dimmed to nothing. Renee shook her shoulders and thought nothing else of it, and unconsciously touched the spot where she was stabbed before. Still feeling that ghostly feeling of a knife slashing across her chest, she frowned.
"I was too slow..." She whispered.
Kuroo was in her face within seconds, as soon as those words slipped through her lips, his own claimed hers.
"No, my Bunny. Don't think badly of yourself. Don't you ever put yourself down!" The red-head boy claimed her into his arms, and felt her slightly flinch but then relax slowly.
"You know Kuroo, sometimes you just get a little too touchy.."
"Huh?""Oh, that's going to last a good week," U.C. flinched inwardly and covered his own man hood as memories flashed back whenever that happened to him.
